For Devil's wing ding this month...

Great job by Lyric1 in tracking down a J that has these markings.   It was like finding a needle in a haystack.

82nd FG, 96th FS
Vincenzo, Italy - March 1945

P-38J flown by Lt. Thomas Welsh, 82nd FG, 96th FS.   Welsh had an extensive tour with the 82nd flying P-38Js and Ls.   This is a rare instance of a J with the yellow tail though the serial number remains unknown.
