is it possible, just as we have different sounds for different aircraft, to have different check6 sounds by placing them in the appropriate aircraft's folder?
-
ah my thoughts exactly, this would be a nice effect.

yes, it works. You just have to put the custom check6 sound in the appropriate plane folder.

wow never knew that.....
makes sense I've got a bunch check 6 calls
now I have something to do with them

Thanks for the info. I recently got a few custom check sounds from this board but, the one I am using doesn't work. I renamed it (check6_Han) and placed it in the general sounds folder but when I get a check call I don't hear anything. I checked the file and compared it to the default AH check six sound, and everything seems okay.
Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks

The file name has to be check6.wav. If it's named anything else, you're not going to hear it.

Thanks! the .wav extension was what had me stumped. I appreciate your help.
