Title: Oculus Touch, Worth the $100?
Post by: SIK1 on July 06, 2017, 06:41:28 PM
Like the title says. Is the Oculus touch worth the investment, or would I be better off delaying the purchase and putting the $100 towards the computer I'm building to run the Rift?

Right now I only play AH on a regular basis, and I have dabbled with "Elite Dangerous".

Thanks in advance

Nope don't do it, unless you have a game in mind that you can't live without having them.

In fact they can be highly annoying.  Mine have been banished to another room.

I like the extra sensor you get with the Touch controllers but you should wait until you need them for something.

Thanks for the affirmation.  :D
I was leaning the way of no Touch, but was sure as soon as I got the Rift without the Touch everyone would have said, "Oh you should gave got the Touch, well worth the C note".

Thay are great for other games, just not this one! Even the Touch tutorial was worth it for me though, pretty cool indeed. Aces High though, not so much.

Agree.  They are great for other games but I had to removed the batteries to keep the hands from popping up in my face (VR) when flying. I tried moving them to another room but they were still visible in the headset.

The touch controllers shut off after sitting still. You only need to pull the batteries when you don't want to wait.
