Title: Waffle's AH2 soundpack v1.6

Well, here it is - Not for the faint of heart.

WAFFLE's SoundPak v1.6 (http://www.dangreve.com/sounds.zip) 75MB download - also looking for mirrorsites..not sure what bandwidth I got on this...lol

Please report any difficulties / oddies suggestions.

NOTE: All files are 16bit / 22hz for better sound quality.
I will release a lower quality pak later if anyone is having problems with these.

It runs fine on my pc with no ill effects in game.

Instructions:

Download and save to desktop. Unzipfiles.
Goto AH2 folder and rename stock "sounds" folder to "sounds1"
Place unzipped "sounds" folder in ah2 directory.

Enjoy!

If any problems, remove the downloaded "sounds" folder and then rename "sounds1" back to "sounds" to return to stock sounds.

should have a patch coming out tonite or tomorrow -

need to adjust some engines sounds volumes, also going to change out some of the armament sounds for individual aircraft.
A few of the mg/cannon sounds are sounding odd.

also when you fire the rockets, the 163 engine sound fire off - my bad on  saving files - will have it fixed next round.

Also will be adding boat sounds and some touch up work on the gvs.

Can you tell where did you get all this sounds?
Are they historical sounds?

Nice, I like them so far.  Wish there was another Check6, I don't like the default one.

Nice Waffle... with the exception of the rocket sound the new patch is supposed to fix (downloading now), I like it.  Great work.

ok   - i fugged something up with last night with scotch -might've uploaded wrong files...lol


Stay tuned - files going down for the evening - will post when back up.

If you plan on keep upgrading your sound pack, I've got some P-38 sounds you can use.

Which do you recommend, Mitsu's soundpack or Waffle's? I have Mitsu's but wanna know if its worth the trouble to get Waffle's instead

Download it, and try it out by naming your old sounds folder "sounds1" or "soundsa" - if you dont like it you can remove the downloaded one and rename the "sounds1" or soundsa" back to sounds.

Also you can dig through and if you do find sounds you like - you can replace individual files.

argh I *love* the 109 sounds.  All of them.  

Had to mix and tweak a little to my liking.  Some of hte engine and flap sounds seemed a tad quiet though.

Overall, it's fantastic work waffle :)  Thanks for contributing!

hopefully v1.7 will be up soon - doing tweaking here also. - that will be the last big download. then the rest I think I can add as patches if need be.
