Title: Are staged missions not yet enabled?
Post by: jimson on July 22, 2012, 11:03:23 PM: These missions will still be player-built in the Mission Editor and uploaded to the Aces High servers via the Terrain Resource Builder.*

OK, I haven't read anywhere that we don't yet have this ability, but I see no way that missions can be uploaded.

The terrain resource builder has no selection for missions and if I try to load a mission as a terrain it says it needs to be checked by the terrain editor.

So is the feature not enabled yet? are the instructions incomplete? Am I blind?

seems to be a problem with the mission I'm trying to UL

Post by: jimson on July 23, 2012, 10:06:12 AM: Ranger try this. When you open the resource builder go to browse and change that from .oba to .mis, then you can try to upload a mission. I don't know if it automatically uploads all the effects files just by clicking on the .mis file or what.

I haven't built any missions yet and can't successfully convert any old ones to try it with.

Post by: Mister Fork on July 23, 2012, 01:14:44 PM: I tried on Friday - built a mission, and then used the terrain editor to upload it. But even after rebooting the AvA server, it wouldn't appear in the AvA staged mission list. Also, it wouldn't appear in a custom arena.

I'm wondering if we need special account permissions to upload missions?

Post by: USRanger on July 24, 2012, 08:40:45 PM: Yep, that's what we needed. Missions upload now. Getting them to work (in the AvA) is proving to be a major challenge for us tonight. It is also playing hell with our arena settings.

Post by: USRanger on January 19, 2013, 11:45:14 PM: HT, awhile back when the mission system came out, you told me to hold off on running staged missions until you guys at HTC were sure the system was stable. This was many months ago. Do we have your permission to go ahead and start trying em out in the AvA to see if all is groovy? :pray
