Title: Please Read: Missing Child
Post by: Blammo on August 02, 2004, 07:35:09 AM
Greetings All:
Yesterday, at some time after 2 AM EDT, my son, David, slipped out of the house and disappeared.  It has been over 24 hours without word.

I am asking all of you, those I have flown against, those I have flown with and those that don't know me, to please pray and if you have any outlet to help, please do so.

Below is a picture of my son.

Please, please, please help if you can.

The Lord bless you and thank you.

Yes Please ask to have an Amber Alert put out!

I feel the urge to travel and help you Blammo, anything you need, you e-mail me, I'm only 5 hours away, and I'm sure my mom would be willing to help you out.

Push for the Amber Alert! I'm spreading the news on other forums, I know you havn't asked for this publicity but it's what helps.

My thoughts and prayers Blammo.

As many have said before, I cant even imagine what youre going through at this time.  I pray for your son's safe return.  Please keep us posted.

If possible, ask for bloodhounds to be used.  Theyre excellent for tracking and I feel 99% sure that your son could be found.

Again, my thoughts and prayers.

It has at least finally made the big media, Fox News is carrying it now. I hope that makes a difference, and makes more people aware. Seems there's a rash of abductions now. I hope this turns out well. The prayers and thoughts of the squad and the family are with you.

From what I've read here...

Police have called off the volunteer search. It might be a good idea to call their office before heading there.

Still praying for David and your family, Blammo.

Well I wouldn't mind going up there to talk, I'm sure there are still volunteers searching, but we should all call the department and urge the start an amber alert.

Blammo,  All our prayers...

For the rest of our fellow posters...I still haven't seen this on national news...so I haven't heard if an Amber alert has been issued.

Just a suggestion...don't know if this will make any difference or any sense but...I suggest that all of you who share bulletin boards at other internet sites post threads there on this subject, complete with the picture and specifics, and urge the readers of those boards to do the same.  Maybe we can set up a ripple effect that will cover more ground.  At the very least we can make more people aware of the situation.

Regards, Shuckins/Leggern

An Amber network has different names in somes states. In this case Hawk, it`s  Georgia, not  Florida. Like I said there is an alert. You can find it here under state search of Georgia.

I pray for his safe return. I wish there was something I could do.

Is there someone the child knows (ex wife girlfriend etc) and trusts that he may have gone off with?

Has he ever been camping with anyone? Is anything missing from his room? Does he have a treasured object that he keeps (blanket etc)? If so is it there?

Does he have any money in his room? Is it there still? Has he every travelled alone before? Does he know how to ride the bus? Is his bike at home?

You need to think of people he trusts. Neighbors, friends, older friends, scout leaders, house keeper etc. Is there anyone that he may have seen recently?

Is there a favorite place he loves to go to all the time? Check there.

If there is a forest around, check the forest if he loves to go back there, or you've taken him back there before.

My family is praying for you!

Perhaps this will open our eyes onto more important issues like family..

Unfortunately, nothing new.  However, I wanted to take just a moment to thank each and everyone of you.  Your great kindness has overwhelmed me.

Right now we have search and rescue dogs.  One in particular has found a very good track and from just my view of it, and knowing my son, I can believe that is the direction he walked.  Keep your hopes up that this is the golden ticket.

Blammo, I rarely ask God for anything.. I figure as blessed as I am it would be selfish of me to bother him other than to say "Thanks"

I'm goin to bed now but will stop a moment and say a prayer for your son.

Below is a picture of my son.

Please, please, please help if you can.

The Lord bless you and thank you.

Back to the top, with the fervent hope that today is the last day we need it to be there.

I passed this along to the Corvair message group this morning. More prayers surely can't hurt.

  I second that emotion.
Man, I can`t remember when I have ever heard any better news than this.
My wife and I are overjoyed. Having raised 4 daughters and now having grandkids , this brought things down to earth for us.
Blammo, take that boy and get him the biggest dog gone burger you can find.

Same here, I would have been shedding tears yesterday.  As a parent of a three years son, I could relate.   I wish your family all of the best and God's prayers.  Blammo, don't lose the faith.

Karaya

EDIT:  I just saw the update that your son was found.  God was protecting him and God bless the man that found him.

Post by: Blammo on August 03, 2004, 12:50:29 PM
Great news and joy:
David was found in a nearby house at about 9 AM EDT this morning.  We are all rejoicing and giving God the glory.

David is fine and only have a few scratches and is mildly dehydrated.  He has already settled back into his room and is playing.

Thank you all for the prayers, support, offers of assistances, good thoughts and the constant attention this was given.

David is home.

Regards,
Robert, Stacey, Jessica and David Tippin

I am so glad that he is ok.

I was having a pretty crummy day today until I read that.

Take him to his favorite place and treat him to whatever he wants.

You have won the greatest lottery ever. Treasure every day of the rest of you life with him.

I feel your pain, I went through the same thing, for a total of 18 months. Turned out to be the long lost mother. She did it about four times. She got better at hiding, but I got better at finding. Now I have help a lot of people find their kids. Its a whole new skill most havent had the need to develope. If you think this may be the case email me back. I'll find that *****!
