This company reprints Air Ministry pilots notes issued to RAF personel from 1939-1945.  For example, at the Biggin Hill airshow last year I bought the manual for Spit V (A, B & C + Seafire IB, IIC & III).....guess how much.  £5.

If it flew in RAF service, there's a manual for it.  Oh, and BTW HiTech......the manual for the Spit V and Seafire clearly states they can use up to a 170 gallon drop tank.  :D   And Seafires can angle flaps to 18 degrees for take off after having mod.no.63.

Didn't that Seafire mod involve using wooden blocks to actually jam the flaps open?   ;)

Nope.   The manual says that's what they did before the mod was done.
