I have a sound card with no joystick port (audigy 2).
I have a nice new X45 stick and throttle and an old pair of ch pedals (analog connection).
Can I connect the X45 throttle to the pedals, then the pedals to the X45 joystick and then the joystick to the usb port and get the pedals to work?

No. USB and gameport do not mix. Even using gameport to USB adapters (if you can find one) the gameport devices are not designed to work through a USB port. Thats why a set of CH USB Pro Pedals is a hundred bucks and you can pick tue gameport set up for 50-75 (depending on condition and where you bought them).

If you have an old joystick you can use the analog pedals with the X45. I did that for a year before the pedals went bad and I got the USB ones!

Are you saying you plugged an old joystick in through the pedals into the gameport just to get Windows to recognize the pedals, then plugged your USB stick in also and just used it as the joystick? Never thought of that. I have to try it lol.
Question though, which operating system were you using? XP has a hard time detecting the analog stuff properly. Just curious.

Oh! THat maybe a problem! I used to use Win98SE. Now I use Win XP.
I never had the old JS setup with XP.
Darn! Sorry. There still maybe a way to work it.
I posed this exact question years ago and so have others. Try a search and see if that helps.
Good luck!

OK! Try a post on 12/28/01 and read AKNimitz's description,
Also 11/23/02 where someone ask the same question.
They are under HW and SW topics.
Good Luck!

08-08-04 SAITEK X45 and Rudder Pedals
Sorry dont know how to post a link to the thread.
You can use TM analog rudders with USB x45 in winXP. You need the joystick for the computer to recognize the rudder pedals.
Use AH stick set up to program inputs.

Makes total sense once I stop and think about it. I just never would have thought of using it lol. I tested it out with my old pos Logitech USB stick and it does indeed work. Amazing. One more to add to the store of ideas. :aok
Problem is, I believe the original poster was saying he doesnt HAVE a gameport and wanted to hook his analog rudders into his USB joystick/throttle setup. That part wont work.
