Yep.  They struck gold with that campaign and with him, then totally fumbled the ball.

All the clever advertising in the world will never overcome being just another import lager.

That's why they started the coronavirus pandemic, to undermine their chief rival's brand.

It is a Heineken import.

I have no newer info but... in 2015 one out of every five beers sold in the USA was a Bud Light.

Eleven companies brew 90% of the beer sold in the US. AB InBev share is 45%. The next closest is MillerCoors with 26%.

If given a choice between
1. toilet water
2. stagnant pond water
3. bud light

bud light would still be 3rd. Nasty skunk beer.

The Dos Equis and Captain Morgan campaigns have always been entertaining though.

And this is why I'm on locally or at least in the general regionally brewed tasty IPAs all the time. Lots of those to be found most anywhere these days. Fresh beer is better beer. And they don't all taste like the same beer!

You want it fresher.... you have to brew it yourself. Often your small breweries beer is older.

While I don't disagree entirely, newer craft breweries who have broken out of their local market are addressing the issue, especially if they brew IPA, which needs to be fresh as possible when served.

Stone brewing has several beers that are marketed as having to be enjoyed by a certain date.

All Bud product is dated. They have to pull it and destroy it past the date. They even remove it from bars and stores.

I wonder if they contract out product disposal?

Most craft beer I drink is too, I was referring to Stone Brewings offerings which are specifically brewed to be drank before a date. https://www.stonebrewing.com/beer/stone-enjoy-ipa-series/stone-enjoy-070420-unfiltered-ipa#ageGatePassed

I've also heard that Budweiser brews up their beer and then cuts it with water to bring it back down to 4. whatever percent it is.

Domestic and Import Lagers all taste the same to me, whether they are fresh or not. Corny taste, no body.

I'm currently drinking Big Timber (Elkins, WV) Logger Lager - 5.2% - crisp earthy hops and great body. It's like drinking real Lager, Not garbage corn water.

No... they bust them in a dumpster. They are sticklers for rotation though.

If you ever see the Bud Girls in a place..... the beer they are distributing is "born on" beer. Made that same day.

After drinking the micros for so long, beers that have beer in them, every time I have a regular domestic like a Bud it's like they took all the beer out of it! Can't do it!

Busch family made beer far before they came here from Germany. Same with Coors and many of the others. Like food, they all have their own recipe and taste.

What about Olde Frothingslosh?  The pale stale ale, with the foam on the bottom.

This is my current jam: https://foundersbrewing.com/our-beer/all-day-ipa

Its not my favorite drinking beer ever, that might be https://www.sunkingbrewing.com/beer/core/osiris

But its my favorite beer that I can actually get where I live now.

And all this is different than "just one" beers that are awesome in single doses, like just about anything from https://www.3floyds.com

And yes, I only have expertise on beers from the region where I live(d), as it should be.

My Nephew makes moonshine. He makes several flavors. That is some good smooth stuff.
