Post by: BTPage on August 08, 2018, 09:12:46 AM
*** Ear muffs are required (some strong lang) ***

162nd Purple Hearts & UL's join forces on this 2 hour event. This was a none stop action. It seems to only get better every time we do it. Hope you guys enjoy the video.  :salute

Awesome video! Love the landing at the end. I watched it many times while I made this post because....

It shows the number disparity pretty well. At one point at near the end, around 10:06, you can see the status of the arena. Too bad it's not from earlier in the night. I wonder if we can find an Axis or Allied video with maps displayed from the first hour, anyone? Also, we can see from our video perspective the numbers during his engagements. Always out numbering, many times 2 or 3 on 1.

The best quote is from Redtail.

(10:34) Redtail: I mean the logs... the logs are gonna come out immediately soon as I get outa here and get em posted.
(10:40) Weiser: Okay, copy that.
(10:43) Redtail: Okay, absolutely. Sorry everybody can't be happy, but can't please everybody.
(10:48) Weiser: Nope, can't please everbody
(10:51) ULDieter: I'm happy!

I suggest we take a simple poll. Not posts, but a poll. Ask the Axis is they felt this was how they want events. The successful Axis, they were Ho machines, at least during the first hour. It was all we talked about... well and the fact a Check 6 was useless as everyone should 'assume for every one in front, you have at least 2 behind.' (Members of the Axis side asked to stop the check sixes for this reason.) or the fact non-escorted B-17s against 262's would be more fun...

But the hosts have spoken. It's not about making all the people happy some of the time. There's only interested in those who they can make happy all the time and everyone else is ignored. (Kinda like the real world issues according to some right now if you think about it.) Change the top, change the game in both.

AWESOME video Tactus, it very very well done and it shows the bad match up it was the first hour. You guys did an awesome job and it was a turkey shoot for you all. If I flew allied I would have been happy as heck. Don't take my comment as an whine or complaint to you cause it truly is not. I've flown on your side before and your a great stick!!!! :salute :salute :salute  Again I loved the video, GREAT JOB on it!!!

Oh one thing though and please don't take it the wrong way, do you know what it really means to say "hammer down"?

No offence taken FBDragon. I can not take responsibility for what the plane set were picked for the 1st hour. That outside of my pay grade. I am happy you enjoyed the video.  :salute

Yes sir I know the meaning of "Hammer Down" or how the RAF used the phrase. Sorta kinda the same but I say it after the fact not before I engage cannons. I have said this phrase since 1997 Air Warriors days  :lol

I'm still happy <G>, I am usually happy when I fly with my squaddies.  I didn't enjoy flying spits, as they're too turny for my tastes.  But my squaddies don't all love Luftwaffe iron, or big heavy fighters.  Great video Tactus, I know how challenging it can be to edit out the madness of what some of our squaddies say, and I am shocked by it sometimes.   :x  I thought it was a pretty good match up, I didn't monitor the numbers, but the few times I did check, there was usually a four or five player allied advantage.  I tried to stay out of the heavy concentrations of axis fighters, and nibbled at the edges usually, but I didn't notice a distinct advantage by either side continuously, but it did surge back and forth.   All things considered, i was happy, as I like flying with my squad.  Thanks to the people who set this Combat Challenge up!  <<S>>

You want the Pentagon's version, or the RAF's?  Both the same really,  when you consider it is where you destroy and/or isolate a target.  :salute
