As the subject title says it all really. Notice how the bumpmaps improve, and the shadow edges become smoother also.

and?  Will this affect my GTX 465?  How can a monitor produce more pixels than it is designed to?

It cannot, but the GPU can render more and then resize the image to match your monitor.

Pretty sure even your GTX 465 can get some legroom off of this.
