Hey Guys and Gals!
We are going to be giving away 500 - yes count'em - FIVE HUNDRED Perk Points each week to the lucky person who posts the best screenshot on Twitter using the hashtag #flyaceshigh.
Starting February 24th, the weekly contest will start at 12:00 pm Tuesday until 12:00 pm Tuesday the following week. All times are in Central US time.
Weekly submissions must be posted between the allotted times. Entries that are submitted before or after the times will not be counted.
We will decide on a subject and post it via Twitter @AcesHighGame on Mondays prior to Tuesdays contest start time.
All submissions must include the the hashtag #flyaceshigh in their tweet.
There are no restrictions on the screen shots - they can be artistic / modified in any way way the user sees fit.
The winner will be announced on Twitter and also in this thread.
The winner's 500 perk perks points can be allotted any way the winner wants over the three perk point categories: Fighter, Bomber, or Vehicle.
The winner must contact the @AcesHighGame Twitter account via direct message within 72 hours for account verification and details.

I was surprised to see Jimmy Graham (Saints TE) and Matt Kenseth are following AH on Twitter. By chance do they have an account and fly incognito? I would love to battle it out with Graham and shoot him down.

I've got over 1,500 followers, and considering our JROTC Group starts mid-March, I'm in.

You click on the "tweet" button and then at the bottom of the tweet box it says "add photo"

Note no bmp's. If you save a bmp you need to convert it in Paint before you upload it.

I hope there is an arena message about this for folks that don't bother with the board. When I first started, I didn't bother with the board for a while. It would not surprise me if there are folks who have been here longer than me that still haven't bothered with it.

Step 1 - Start a Twitter account
Step 2 - Go to AH's Twitter account and follow every single Twitter account that follows them
Step 3 - Follow good folks that follow you...at least until they act like a butt hole...then, unfollow them.
Step 4 - Changeup will follow you back, lol...and some of the Twitter accounts I follow, you'll like.
Start Tweeting...you are limited to 150 characters per tweet. Photos can be tweeted and so can short vids now. People who follow you will see your tweets...no one else unless they search for keywords or unless someone they follow retweets a tweet to someone you follow and they retweet it.
It is NOT like Facebook.

It's good to see that HTC now has a "Social Media Specialist". I've always felt that if more people just knew about the game, they would fall in love with it, just as so many of us have. Welcome aboard HOP. Glad to have you here.

Twitter is not just an advertisement platform, its also a communication tool to reach people directly. It is a soapbox for anyone who wants to push his agenda. Its also a double edged sword, you can create a positive buzz about the game, and also get some flak from your customers.
Considering HTC's tradition of silence and the average interest in twitter within the community, I doubt it is going to do any good if they keep ignoring player feedback. Time will tell, but right now Aces high has 59 followers. https://twitter.com/AcesHighGame/followers

That's normal. You shouldn't be able to see your hashtag'd tweet unless of course your tweet is trending. In order for a tweet to trend it has to be RT (ReTweeted) by others instantaneously all over the nation/world. Another way for your tweet to trend is for it to be favored (Favorited) by many Twitter users.

After you type #flyaceshigh in the search bar, a set of results will pop up. At the top of your results you will see a "top" and "all" options. Click on "All" and you should see all tweets that contain #flyaceshigh (including your own). Hope that helps.

I do click on the "All"and still don't see mine. As long as others can see my tweet when they search #flyaceshigh than its all good.

1 thing Hop you could make a Facebook "group" for players , separate from the aces high page. I believe Facebook is far more popular then twitter and easier to use for future contests such as this.

oh i agree there will be a time Facebook dies, but twitter has been around since 2006 Facebook 2004. my only point is Facebook still has a ways to go and most people are more familiar with the posting rules. where Twitter has a limit the amount of words to tweet, Facebook does not. the "group" Facebook page would also help answer questions for players wanting to join where we could give answers to those questions with more detail.

if you looking on the game sight @aceshighgame for the results the only thing you are going to see is retweets from that site . the #flyaceshigh hash tags will show up only if you click on the hash tag to see the results. FLS i am not sure what you did when you posted your dawn patrol ,but that does not show on the hash tag page until i click on where it says show " all " tweets.
the confusion lies that you look at the aceshighgame page for contest tweets that they do not tweet, only the retweets will show. the only tweets you are going to see are on your home page of the people you follow unless you sign into the @aceshighgame account.

Aceshighgame is a profile page not a site like hitechcreations.com, just like fls_ahtc, thegreatmoko, and glzzuhu have profile pages.
#flyaceshigh is a hashtag and when you search for it you see the tweets that include the tag.
Your profile page has your timeline which is the tweets you see there.
Twitter may put tweets in your timeline even if you don't follow those profiles.
My tweets appear on my profile timeline and if they include #flyaceshigh they appear when you search #flyaceshigh.
I still don't get why glzzuhu didn't show up there until he was retweeted.
When you say sign in to the @aceshighgame account aren't you just looking at that profile?

ha i was in the process of editing my post . it was my understanding that we tweet pics to that account @Aceshighgame with the hashtag #flyaceshigh. I have never received a tweet from somebody i dont follow unless they are responding to my tweet to someone i follow.
as for what i mean sign into the Aceshighgame profile that is the only account. ( sign in means username and password) that will receive all the contest tweets and pics and be able to see all of them if the tweet was sent to that account if my understand of the contest is right. lol i saw glzzuhu post right away and i dont understand why people seem to have trouble with it.

It really can't be understated how important it is for everyone to follow HTC and retweet their tweets. If your followers will retweet your retweets....see how that works?
Waffle, which Twitter account should we really be following?
Also, add gaming community accts to your retweets. You can expose HTC to anyone you choose. Gaming periodicals, magazines, equipment manf, gaming sites, etc etc etc. Just add their Twitter handle to your retweet.

the @aceshighgame account is the official game account. the @hitechcreations account is for more company oriented stuff. But they all auto link, and auto tweet some stuff between the two.

Looks like you forgot to send it to @AcesHighGame .
You want @aceshighgame as the recipient and #flyaceshigh to sort it for the contest.
It would look like "@aceshighgame #flyaceshigh screenshot contest week 3 109s" without the quotes for the text message.
I see them when I follow you. No idea why they don't show up with the others at #flyaceshigh.

It will show a few and it will more than likely show the few with the most Favorites or ReTweets. The more popularity your photo gets with the hashtag determines how high up the trending page your image will appear.

The point in hashtags are to possibly have your tweet seen worldwide via trending.

I don't understand why have a contest where your entries won't even be seen? That tidbit should have been in the OP. I realize this contest is basically free advertising for the game, but why not do it somewhere like Facebook, where you are guaranteed to have your submissions show up, instead of a crap shoot? :headscratch:

i took 2 hrs making 4-7 great shots just to post on twitter (i need to pay for my 262 addiction!) and i couldnt find an upload option. ive missed a few updates on it. i need hepl up loading or ill offer my FB account for 1000 perks lol

It worked. You have some with "#flyaceshigh @AcesHighGame" instead of "@AcesHighGame #flyaceshigh". I don't know if that matters for the contest. You can see them on your home page.
