Figures, seems im the first to have this problem?

no video card to select on the configuration screen?

errors out with that -3 error


gforce 2 mx400 64mgs  driver date 5/2003
amd 1700  
512 mgs 266
asus 266 mb
DX 9.0

Your not the first if the error means you video card won't initialize.  I and many other have reported the problem.  For a few of us the problem simply went away with no changes to our system.  About the 5th time I tried to start the game up, it just decided to work without me doing anything.  From the first attempt to the last was about 5 days with restarts inbetween, but no changes to the system.
