This is my skin of a S. Pz. Abt 505 King Tiger. This unit received King Tigers in Aug-Sept 1944 and fought against the Soviets with them during the retreat through Poland and Eastern Germany until it lost its last tanks in April. Unusually their tanks all had the unit's emblem, a mounted knight in armour, painted on the side of the turret. On this tank the crew cut holes in the zimmerit to paint the emblems on. Tactical numbers were painted on the gun mantlet.
I have used the new bump and spec maps on this skin. The bump map gives the zimmerit, fasteners and grilles a better 3D appearance while the spec map gives the cables, tools and spare tracks a more reflective sheen.

I sure wish I had any kind of talent in skin building, you gents make it look way to easy.
/I tried, but failed once to many on a simple skin =(
-
Skin creation is just an extension of existing photoshop skills (or other software). If you have the wish to work on skins still, just keep working with graphics. Do anything. Work on webpages. CREATE webpages. Make link buttons, ad banners, composites images, etc.
Once you're familiar with the tools and techniques, skinning is more an application of those towards an end goal.

That's not easy. I need 2-3 weeks to finished skin.

With some of the quality skins you've produced that's impressively fast. For me, I'm still working on a number that have been in the works a long time.

That's incredible!!
