Anyone around from 15 years or so ago? I have been thinking about hooking up my old controllers and flying again.

We (13th Tas) had a lot of memorable squad duels with AK. 1st squad duel final was with your squad.

I started flying on an Amiga 500 on GEnie in the early 90ies. I think that means I fart dust now. Sad thing is I was much better back then them I am now. Even back then I'm sure Skyyr was better then me. I'm not sure thought as I don't remember him flying back then.

Started out with the BOPs with my brother, Flayed1, in '04 when I was 31, then formed a first bomb group of sorts, then the 91st BG back in the heyday of 30-player (90 plane) + escorted B17 missions in the Main. Been on and off of AH for extended lengths of time since then. Still around..

I brought the 444th Air Mafia over from AW in 2001 and have been here ever since.
The game still has its ups and downs, numbers being the biggest issue. Some come on back and be part of the solution!

US prime time there is still plenty of action to be found. Other times of day, its hit or miss depending on how flexible you are.
Heck, its only $15, give it a go!

I still pop in on the board occasionally Sax. Started in 2001-2002 if I remember correctly. Had a whole lot of fun with the MAW, then the 13th TAS, and finally the Blue Knights. Squad night was always my favorite. As a MAW, mixing it up with the Arabian Knights was always a hoot.

I flew with the 13TAS for 10 tours, great time, Rude ran a great squad, and every member was cool, taught me tons about the P51. We went on a lot of rampages with 8 or 10 squad members online at once. Still on contact with Toad too. Good times.

Of course we are! Not as often as we once flew, the press of other events being what it is, but we're still here.

I just re-upped a few months ago, before that I was last on around Tour 24. The most notable difference are the numbers in the MA are waaaaay down from those of yesteryear. However, what brings back good memories and good times are the organized events which are a helluva a lot of fun and well worth it.

VR in AH is light in hardware required compared to il2 or dcs
A 1070 with an i5 is all you need cpu wise ... I use the original vive pro..one for sale under $150 in ebay yesterday..
VR is worth it if you love ww2 a2a imo

If you're upgrading, then shoot for the moon. Get a 4090 and build a case around it.2TB NvME drive. Corsair makes a 4TB NvME drive that has a 3,340 per milisec transfer rate, that is ridiculously fast.
Oculus Quest series are the easiest VR headsets to hook up and use. Plus, they have storage on them for VR games sold by Oculus. I play Golf+ and poker stars on my headset. And you can go down to your local Walmart and pick you one up.
