You may think I am joking or that I am stupid but try this for you hangovers: When you wake up in the morning, drink a beer, or a soft alcoholic drink (Piña Colada comes to mind) NO whiskey or you will barf.
For some reason it works (for me and some others).
I discovered this, one weekend me and some friends were par-té 'ing and the only thing for breakfast was Cheerios and Corona Extra.
What a sad xmas

1/2 Beer
1/4 Tomato Juice
1/4 Egg
Disgusting but it used to work...
I think my Body is too old for that stuff now :/

Some good recipes, but as a ex-bartender/bar manager, I can assure you the best recipe is a large glass of Bitters and Soda.

My K/D just about doubles when I'm online after having a few (too many sometimes) drinks.
As for avoiding the hangover, the trick is to drink a lot of water before going to bed. Start drinking as much water as you can hold about at least an hour before going to bed (or passing out). If you wake up before a full night's (day's?) sleep, get up, relieve yourself, drink another few glasses of water, and go back to bed. Tylenol optional. You'll wake up feeling at worst tired. Been there, done that, didn't like it, got medical advice that works every time (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

AHH-HAH!! I finally get to use my major in biochemistry and molecular biology (havent used it since graduating from college...Im in IT Sales now).
Anyway, a hangover is caused by your bodies reaction to the aldhydes formed by your liver as it attempts to detoxify the ethanol. The detoxification is a multistep process and the aldehyde is just a precursor to the final detoxification of the alchohol. Oxygen helps since the oxygen is used in the detoxification process....more O2 means more efficient detoxification.

i cant tolerat herb anymore after some wild thin i dont want to narrate
now it just makes me feel horrible and i cant take it; i have to find some way to sleep or i will pass out in pain. it feels as if my mouth is covered with an awful tasting dry oil surface that prevents water from wetting and no matter how much i drink it stays that way and it tastes horrible. no matter what kind i smoke. i think its some kind of body reaction against it.

Speaking of drunken days the worst hangover I've ever had was when we were outta beer and resorted to going through a buddies wine cellar. I got more drunk than I'd been in eons; we ended up on the streets and every time we saw a parked car, we'd lift it up by the rear, move it 45 degrees so it stuckout into the street. Dumb, yeah, but that indicates the level of alcohol in my blood.
Had a NIGHTMARISH hangover after that one that wouldn't go away. Haven't touched wine since.
