Last night I was headed 360 17k E of 7, yappin with WD who was drivin a Lanc. He called out a large formation of 190's (5-6 I believe). He called in to the tight formation of 190's while I approached waiting for icon range.
What a sight to see WD slicin through this formation of 190's ina Lanc (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) I then engaged and just took my time while two more 13th TAS arrived for the fight.
What ensued was a great fight against skilled pilots...was alot of fun. I really enjoy seeing formations of enemy vs. just a single plane drifting around. The 13th flies together and fights together...I hope to see more of this by enemy squads as it makes for great fights.

Who cares about squadron's fighting together, furballs of two kinds of single-engined aircraft, fun, sportsmanship, love, togetherness, peace, all good will, pats on the back... I wanna know who won. If the 190 pilots didn't smoke the 13th TAS, then we know why. The 190 is porked!

I think yeager's about the only TAS who'll let his balls hang out and get down and dirty in a dogfight. Seems the rest watch their speedo most of the time, while occasionally glancing out of the cockpit while extending. <g,d,r> (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I got the fright of my life yesterday, when i was flying a hvy hog low at 1/2 throttle (to save gas), when i saw a swarm of 190s must have been about 6 of them or so, i carried on past them and they seemed to leave me be (PHEW!), then another two 190s passed me, and they appeared to leave me be also (Double PHEW!), so i continued to my JABO target when i saw the last 2 190s following me. OH JEZUZ i thought! Hurridly dropped my ord and bought the RPM to full and firewalled the throttle and lo-yoyod to meet the attackers. One of them wanted to play the HO game, the other was a bit more carefull, so i obliged the HO keen 190 with 4 hispano hits in a HO (i was desperate!) in exchange for 2 MG pings - down went one 190. Looked out my 6 to see the other screaming down at me, so i sissor him, he zooms. He comes back again, i break turn he zooms again, i nose low to get more speed hit WEP and follow his zoom and he was topping out, he was about half-way through his hammer and i was stalling at d600 or so below him, so i fired off a desperate burst and got 5 or pings, BOOM goes the 190. I couldnt believe i had just defeated 2 190s that both had a large E advantage. A true testiment to the hispanos power, not my crap abilities in a chog (i hardly ever fly em)

Well, I have to take that back. Somehow you caught me in tour 4 where we were 1-for-1. During the beta (tour 2 I think) I got 1 kill on you. We just haven't met that often. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Man i had a blast in that Lanc..
After killing both FH at a18 i headed NW to kill the FH at a7. Radar showed a large mass in the sector E of a7. Thinking it might be Buffs i started looking for the cons to get an ID on them. Saw 2 dots at about 15k iwas 18k figured they where buffs so i dove towards them. Spatula gets on the radio: wholey crap, large formation of 190s, think im dead. They ignored him. The 2 cons i dove into where 190s, lagging behind the main group. Soon i saw about 5 or 6 more dots, got closer and found em all to be 190s.
Ive been on the radio to Ice the whole time. So i stayed in the area zooming and teasing the 190s till Ice got there, then a few more 13th TAS showed up with Alt & E. The 190s handled themselfs very well considering that they where now low. The p51s cleaned up all of them and rtb. I also made it back.
This has been one of the most memorable nights ive had flying in a very long time. Shoulda filmed the damn thing. HB coulda made an Allied Oppertunist movie out of it.
Gota thank Ice for being in the area cause me lone Lanc could only tease the 190s for a short time.
Salute to the ASSASSINS for putting up one hell of a fight at a disadvantage. And to the 13th TAS for saving my skin.
It was a sight to see 190s v p51s.

Moose, I have a Abit Be6 v2.0.... I didn't have any probs with the udma, but I didn't like the software TSR to run it so I just used the old cable (the one without the blue end) to connect HD to MB
