Anyone have any idea when we will be able to use custom terrains in the custom arenas?

I'm working on a line of new terrains specifically made for the private servers.  Fully custom textures & object with closer than MA fields.  I've been waiting for this since the old H2H was taken down.  Can't wait! :x

Hopefully the custom arenas see alot more usage when we are able to use our maps :rock

Not yet, that is evidently an upcoming feature.

I talked to Skuzzy and he says the custom arena maps need to be uploaded to HTC server and they will post when this will happen in the near future ..till then no custom maps yet just what they have in file.

Any chance of the old 8 player maps returning? really liked some of the gv ones.

They might have to be redone due to the new terrain engine...many MA/SEA maps dropped out of the rotation because of this.

We can't use the "Old" 8 player maps unless someone updates the maps to current version of AH.

Ok, thanks for the info. If anybody is interested from my new Karelia terrain it is just now (Friday and Saturday) donloadable from the SEA II arena!

Just a heads-up for anyone wanting to do terrains for the custom arenas.  You have to make sure there are NO errors reported on the object report before they can be used. (Object tab, Obj Report button, Check Terrain button with All errors report type selected).

There will be a less cumbersome way to access this report but you can at least check for any existing errors now.

I have made a few tutorials for creating terrains and put them on the AHWiki.

Finally...my first ever terrain will see the light of online day!!  :x

Canyon - coming as soon as AHEDIT2263.EXE finishes downloading.  :D
