The issue is that the missions are not being uploaded correctly if they are not all lower case letters.
Make sure both the file name of your .mis and the mission group name are all lower case numbers or an _
I will put out an new resource uploaded tomorrow that will fix the issue and do name validation.
Also I will be deleting any missions from the host that do not match the naming convention.

Wait wait wait wait.... If there is a chance of the missions not uploading correctly because of Caps present in the original name of the mission... Could that be part of the problem I am having with my bombers BOMBS not making contact with the ground, and simply disappearing?
IF that is so I need to seriously re-name ALL my missions

No, there is something else going on.
I renamed mine and made sure that there is nothing but lower case letters in the file name, properties of mission routes and flights.
Rebuilt it and uploaded it and still no go.
It's called bigday on the server

jimson, open the .mis file with word pad.
Make sure the top line (the file name) is also in lower case.
The new uploader that I release today will do this automatically for you.

Are the .mis titles allowed to have any special charactes in the name? ie: '-+$%^*'
Just curious because all of my missions have - inclued in the title.

Only numbers lower case letters and _ (i.e. underscore)
Currently there are some with - but that will removed shortly.

Arrrgh, I give up.
I'm just going to delete them all and start from scratch. They were only test missions anyway. With all the filenames in lower case and with the new uploader and they still don't work the problem has to be that they are corrupted on my end.
I may just try a new download of the game, perhaps my Mission editor is corrupted as well.
Hitech, if you don't mind, there are 3 missions I would like deleted from the server. They are 8thvluft, 8thvlw2, and bigday

I was trying out missions in a custom arena Bob terrain and I am assuming the same issue you guys are talking about is the one I had trouble with. Only one mission would work. The others showed nothing on the populate screen and trying to start them it would say pembquit not ready for mission. Anyway just a +1 on getting this working smoothly as I think for a lot of sucky players (me) having missions to practice our aim would be really nice.

That is exactly the baffling thing - I've never had any sort of problem like yours...
The only problem I've run into is that Bombers DO NOT drop their bombs in the custom arena...
Other than that besides a few mission crash bugs involving multi-options...

I think I'll try to create a new mission tonight. Something simple, maybe some early model Spits vs Hurri's. No sound effects or images will be added.
Maybe my added sound effects are what's making my missions unpopulatable. (is that even a word? Lol).

Still having the same issue with the mission I uploaded, it does not contain any images or added sounds.

Ok but only one hint. :D The mission is 8thaf....however i just checked and it is not listed anymore, let me know if I need to re-upload it or send you the .mis file.

Zodi - I'm going to snatch a copy of your mission off the server and re-upload it in a different name and see if the blank-screen-o-doom persists...

It appears you have changed the destination directory, I bet that is what is breaking the upload of the .res file.
set it back to the missres folder.

Not trying to Hi-Jack this thread - but I suppose the problem could be along the same lines..
Any new news about the Bombers (Bombs) actually dropping?

Someone else who knows what they are doing will have to determine whether it works or not.
I can't tell if it's me or the program.

It appears you have changed the destination directory, I bet that is what is breaking the upload of the .res file.
set it back to the missres folder.

Changing the destination directory to the .missres folder did fix the problem, I don't recall ever changing it to the misstemp but who knows.

Mine was set to C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High\misstemp for some reason, changing it back to the missres folder solved the blank population screen issue for me.

I can confirm that the destination directory is automatically switching from missres to misstemp. I know this for a fact because mine was set to misstemp and I changed it back to missres and uploaded a mission and it worked as far as populating but when I updated the mission and re-uploaded it, it didn't work and when I checked it, it was changed back to misstemp.
I did not change it myself, of that I am sure.
At least I am getting somewhere now.

True, I'm done with simple test missions and will work on some real ones now.
