To me the coolest thing, the one I missed the most, was when you open the hangar and see the huge assortment of planes and vehicles available to play. Its like no matter what your in a mood for its sitting there in the hangar. Thats very rare in flight games. And its made even larger by all the skins to dress the plane for all the different countries that shared them either thru trade or lend lease. The comms are better and much more useful then just using teamspeak too.
Just as cool is to be in missions or recreations that use actually Historical correct aircraft and vehicles in Historically correct manners. I was in one last night, where Niks and KI's escorted Betty bombers. As a WW-2 History nut that kinda thing just floats my boat. I get a kick out of just watching them.

the PvP is good to boot with some amazingly high quality players and a strong community.

My favorite part of the game is being in an unpredictable arena with ~300 other folks at once. No two fights are identical, and that's nearly impossible to find anymore in computer gaming. This is one of the few games left where bad things can happen to you even if you do everything right.
It's what keeps me coming back.

When I first played it was on an old and crappy laptop. About two months ago I had received a new PC and was able to boost the graphics to the "middle of the road" so to speak. THAT, to me is the coolest thing still. Being able to see weapon effects, dust fly up from wheels, actually seeing the clouds. AWESOMENESS!

There is no redeeming quality in this game. It just plain sucks. ;)

While numbers are down overall there still seems to be as much, or more, players still willing to do the jobs not high in glory. Running supps, flying goons, dropping bombs when needed, manning ack........ect. Its good to still see that.

When I first started playing this game back in 07, as my first flight sim ever. I was totally blown away by all the good help I got from other players, on how to get started on my ACM. General tips and tricks, good to know stuff for any beginner so to speak. To me that was one of the coolest things in this game, and it got me alot of good friends.
Now I still think the good comradery makes this game one of the coolest, and also the variety of rides, options and preferrences on this and that, and perhaps most of all the fact that you never know what to expect of action when you log in. Even when there are low numbers of players, there are still tons of fun things to do.. :aok

BTW for all the money you have spent mail ordering ACME products that continually fail you could have owned a chicken farm by now and would never have to chase a skinny flea bitten roadrunner again. You gotta think these things through a bit better son. :bolt:

Koth is an awesome event and still gets me pumped to fly. I'll never forget how excited I was when I won my first Koth round in 110s against Balsy a long time ago. :aok

Prety close to my thoughts as well. Even two fights with the same person are identical. Keeps me comming back for more and more and more.... :airplane:

Scenarios and working with the Guys in the planning stages of them, the new Pilots you meet in the Scenerios. most of all my squadmates just a total gut busting Funtime with these Guys, you could call it organized ADHD on a grand scale :rofl

Most satisfying part of this game,
for the most part in addition to the same things most of the others listed,
Is after a particularly hairy encounter, limping a wounded bird home. Lining her smoking, crippled hulk up on the field and trying to crash delicately enough to get the satisfying "You have landed successfully" message.
While racking numerous kills, and heavy bomb damage is fun. Nothing is as cool to me as making it home, when the odds were so stacked against me. ....that's fun to me :) :rock
