LOL! I would have been facing a moral dilema myself.
BTW.. I assume when you say "a different class of people" you are reffering to the guy that was nice enough to turn the briefcase into authorities with the $60,000 in tact... and not the guy that was scatter brained enough to leave a briefcase with $60,000 in it sitting on top of his car while he drove off.

I left it open-ended so you could draw your own conclusion. :D

Just because a Canadian would never HAVE 60k, and if he happened to get lucky enough to earn it, it would only be worth $1.98 US, is no reason to spread the hate.

okay so you dont like clinton but you wouldnt mind just taking that cash from someone john?and then lieing about it eh?
-
Well...that's what money does to people. Besides...if some schmuck leaves $60,000 on their car and I find it...my belief is they aren't smart enough to have the money in the first place. :D:D:D:D:D:D;)

jueeezuzs crispy critters!
there's no dillema here. we all learned this before we could even spell money:
finders, keepers; losers, weepers.
-
Who, besides mafia in the movies, keeps 60 grand in a brief case?
-
Me.
It all ma money from ma squeakes. Ya know what I'm sayin?
-
They must not have banks up there.. That's what people down here use for $60k payments. Heck I use an internet bank to pay my daily bills and I haven't carried cash since -96.

Maybe, but would you report you're findings to the IRS and pay the proper taxes?

Who needs banks and paper money when ya got otter and beaver pelts for tradin'?
Mmmmm, Beaver! It's not only good, but it's good for ya.....
Obviously the guy with 60k in a brief case was an outta stater, ya can bet he weren't wearin' a flannel shirt and loggin' boots or even a CAT Tractor ballcap.
It's almost certain he was from California.

I think I can honestly say I would return it.
If for no other reason than anyone who travels around with $60,000 in a briefcase is probably not someone you want to be stealing money from in the first place.
Then I'd kick myself for the rest of my days for not taking it.
$60K... hm...
Thats a cherry 94 911 3.6L Turbo... and some left over.
Ok.. so maybe I'd keep it.
