Title: Question for those who record gameplay.
Post by: Trev95 on October 19, 2019, 07:19:34 PM
How long do you guys make your videos?  How long is to long?  I am working on editing ANZIO Frame#3 and have easily enough footage for a 10 to 15 minute video.  Thoughts?

Make it as short as you can and still tell the story you want to tell. Make the video you want to see.

If you can do it in 3 minutes more people will watch the whole thing.  :aok

I film my flights from start to finish and then go back
and edit them for what I want (reduces size)

If you think about what you'd like to see and draw it in a story board that will help you organize a coherent story and plan camera shots. A story board is like a comic book that tells the story in the video. Then you just need to find those scenes in AH film and make a short clip with the shot you want. Then paste the clips together to make the video. Then watch it a few times and do a final edit if it needs one, then add titles etc.

My videos aren't done like that because I want to show the energy gain and loss and the fact that the airshow videos are not a collection of lucky outcomes, it's one flight showing off the flight model, usually takeoff to landing.
