Getting close and wondering if you made the list?? No not Santa's list :uhoh The Tournament Of Champions list of course :aok
I generally do make a mistake so give it a once or twice over and see if I did or not, there's always hope :bolt:
I know way back when Covid19 got wabbit status there was a discussion about this handle in the TOC but it was water under the bridge then. The handle is NOT open so can't exclude it although I thought I was going to be.
Tournament Of Champions list of reservations; winners and wabbits of 2020
Covid19, Eagler, HORRIDO1, JeffN, Krupnski, Lazer, Limbo0, Pacifis2, Rud3boi, Sawzaw, Simon, Sukov, ULDutchV, Violator, Wiley.
January 2021 does have 5 Saturdays in it so I guess we have a bigger than usual window of opportunity for the TOC date. I usually go 2nd Saturday and then get the regular KOTH in the 3rd but I suppose we can get the TOC in the 2nd or 3rd Saturday and still have a couple Saturdays to get the regular one in.
Have any preference for the TOC date and time? Sooner you speak up the greater your chance of it having an effect.

Maybe the 22nd or 29th for the regular koth.

I've always had it 2nd Saturday but we have space this year so going a week later I think as of now with
TOC 16 January and KOTH 23 January , and as of now there are no conflicts with other events.

The 2020 King Of The Hill Tournament Of Champions will be held 16 January 2021 at 3pm ET in SEA II. Our first chariot of battle will be a flying cannon, the Bf 110G-2 chosen by last years winner ULDutchieV.
This is an invitation only event to fly in as you have had to win or qualify as a wabbit to get that invitation during the 2020 season. If you didn't qualify we have our first regular event next Saturday and you can try to get one then. Onlookers will be allowed and CM Eye will be enabled as long as they are not a distraction to the event.
Players who qualified for this years TOC are: Covid19, Eagler, HORRIDO1, JeffN, Krupnski, Lazer, Limbo0, Owl, Pacifis2, Rud3boi, Sawzaw, Simon, Sukov, train45, ULDutchV, Violator, Wiley.
Winner will receive three free months of Aces High.

Oh yes, CM Eye will be enabled for spectators if they want to see the cream of the crop have some great dog fights. Well from the crop of people who attend KOTH :)
If they are not a distraction, ie: text or VOX too much among a couple of things, spectators will be allowed.
If you do plan to spectate, now would be the time to get CM Eye working and make sure you are familiar with using it. I use it every month but it still takes me a time or three to get my rhythm down and get smooth using it and following people in a fight.
This should give you a head start in setting it up and what I have on my KOTH arena message:
*Use CM-eye [F5] mode to enjoy the action after you die!*
You may have to set up CM-Eye for it to work, here's how.
There are a few ways of course but it is easier to set up
a 'Mode 3' and use your joystick buttons and throttle.
1) Go into Options > Controls > Map Controllers
2) Open the Mode Selection menu, select 'Mode 3'
3) Hit the 'Copy Mode 1' button
NOTE>> you may very well want to use different keys than the following. These are just examples. <<<
4) Select Button 0, set to 'View CM Eye Move Forward'
5) Select Button 1, set to 'View CM Eye Move Backward'
6)Select Button 2, set to 'View CM Eye Move Map'(optional)
7) Go to 'Map Keys' and set an available key to
select Mode 3.
I personally set it to the * on the keypad.
However, there are other keys you can use.
CM Eye should now work.
Hit F5 from the Tower, then your key to enter Mode 3.
Joystick buttons 0, 1 and 2 will move you around in CM Eye.
Your throttle controls how fast you move.

Thoughts on this, I'd have to keep attendance, but what do you think of 'attend every KOTH and get into the TOC' invitation?
If there ends up being more than one, they can fly a round to pick a winner or maybe random number to just narrow it to one.

The winner, the rabbits and anyone with x number of kills should be invited to the TOC IMO
This would add pilots and make it more of a spectator event.

Forget to read the first few posts too ??? Yes, I'm picking on you.
You snapped out of :old: just in time to :joystick: and :airplane: this weekend.
Related to Attendance Entry- This would have to be narrowed down also as I don't think we want a guy showing up for round 1 and leaving every KOTH and getting into the TOC. I wouldn't want it to be attend and get a kill either as we all know sometimes it just works out that way and it's a tough night. They would I assume have to be there for the majority of the event or say 1/2 the rounds that KOTH lasted and participate opposed to just showing up. Also, KOTH CMs, referring to me I guess, would not be allowed entry for hosting every event of the year.
Kills are tricky and are NOT accurate. Unfortunately there is a little bit of Melee still there when a person gets shot down. A few still try and get down on the ground and ditch opposed to giving credit to the guy who shot you down. I've commented during the event about this and even included something in a Results post too IIRC.

Not everyone with a kill would get an invite but those with highest percentages from a KOTH
The winner and rabbits have the highest kills so pick the next two highest killers for a TOC invite
Or keep it as is...

Last year I can remember a time or two where the person with the most kills did not get wabbit status or the win, maybe in that situation let them in?
And with TOC, I think we invite plenty of people to have a good event, say 20 people or so [ be reasonable fuze, say more than 12 ], but it's attendance that hurts it.
But more immediately, I know what I'll be doing 24 hours from now :D

Hours of great :joystick: and :airplane: with some people feeling like :bhead or :ahand and maybe :neener: not to mention :furious and hopefully NO :noid

This has been discussed as was the Melee arena message. Being an invitation required event there is that line of announcing an event some people cant participate in. That might not go over well with some so I limit my TOC stuff to just 906 announcements just like any event, and KOTH related areas.

Apologies to KOTHers, Lazer and HiTech for not noticing this much sooner and bringing up a necro-post.
In my defense it is the results to the TOC so it has relevance and importance for the record. As far as a necro-post it pales in comparison to a recent 20 year old one.
Here are the official results for the 2020 KOTH TOC, finally.
The 2020 TOC lasted about ninety minutes and a half dozen rounds were flown. We had six pilots attend and a pair of wabbits.
Congratulations were given to Lazer for being the baddest wabbit there -{S}- The P-38G was chosen for next year which is the reason I noticed this wasn't up yet as it's coming up fast.
Round by round results:
1} Lazer in a Bf 110G-2
2} Violator in a Ki-61-Tei
3} Lazer in a P-40E {Wabbit}
4} Violator in a C.202 {Wabbit}
5} JeffN in a Bf 109F-4
6} Lazer wins in a FM2
Lazer does earn an automatic reservation to the 2021 KOTH TOC.
