Hello mission makers :)
Could some1 write up a mission featuring the P38-L in fights with other allied and
axis powers? Haven't seen any P38-L planes in missions at present.
'Twould be nice to see a P38-L vs P51-D or F4u4 or spits. Anybody? TY.

Take SAPP P38 mission. Replace G with L. Replace victim unit with whatever.
Piece of cake. You can use edln if you're masochistic, vi if you're cool, or notepad if you're condemned to only have pOSs at your disposal.

Thx much for ur efforts, however, I'm rather dubious that what u suggest in all simplicity is going to work, just changing the P38-J to an L isn't going to make it a
P38-L, similarly changing the 38G to a J or L.
Of a certainty changing the NIK2 to a P51-D (namewise) isn't going to change the a/c, it's still a NIK2. :salute molto grazie :D

No, you change the numbers, actually. Think of this as a wonderful opportunity to learn something new.
Incidentally, it's dogfight.

You are welcome, although I took some "creative liberty" with the One On One mission that came with the game. Let me know if you want to get rid of the pony and put in a 4-hog or some such. :salute

Have a question ... How do u launch aircraft into the air? Par example, I've selected 1 of 4 planes, 3 of the planes are taking off, I'm in the 4th one, after instructions from the tower , my airplane is launched....HOW was that accomplish-
ed? What commands are given in the writeup? A good sample would be is the
oneonone mission , how would u autolaunch my selected plane, say P51 East?

I'm guessing that you are talking about launching from the runway, then suddenly teleported to the destination. I am not sure what the command is in the text, but under the mission editor, I believe it is the Warp command. Pm some of the better mission writers, like USRanger of Soda72(i think), as a "creative liberty-ist" like me can only guess at these sorts of questions.
