SOB what kind of FPS you get with that setting?
I'm getting about 60 fps offline at A1 facing NW in the P-51D, view range max and clutter on.
That's fine, but I still get some jerky frame rates in smoke. I'm trying to find out if it's just lousy programming or I need to fine tune my setup.
CPU is a 1333 Athlon.

I'll check when I boot into 98 tonight Funked. What terrain. Maybe you can help me troubleshoot my problem.
I had a consideral FPS drop recently after I switched from the Visiontek GeForce 3 to the Asus 8200 Deluxe GeForce 3 card. Problem is, I installed DirectX 8.0a at the same time, so I don't know what the FR drop would be attributed to. Different card or different DX8 and possibly toejamty drivers for it. Unfortunately, I've been way too lazy to reinstall Win98 so I can get DX7 back fresh. Will probably do that this weekend.
That 60fps is at 1600 with Quincunx FSAA on right? If so, what's your DX version? Also, which card are you running?
Thanks!
