Title: Conclusion..
Post by: Zuum on June 10, 2004, 05:54:47 PM
This weeksīs  CT setup(Variying one...) ... Bad feelings...
Despite of D-Day week, I never figured  that american game producers are so small-minded...and intolerance!
Disablating the C47 for germans, disablating the front line fighters, disablating everything... This sounds like Soviet Union!!!
THERE IS JUST ONE TRUTH!!!
This sounds....Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!
Cīmon...this is just a GAME!!!!
Dont take(and make) it too serious!

Let this community live, and, let others die

I dunno about that but, at least, they dont remodify the rules or setup during the session...;)

Zuum, just what are you talking about? Can you be specific?
This week's setup was mine, I don't recall making changes to the "rules".
Two things happened this week:
1:  I enabled the Typhoon and Mosquito to give British players and Canadian players something to fly.

2:  I changed the bases the 109G10 was enabled at.  Both it and the P51B are enabled at bases roughly one sector from the coast, at least they are now.  Before, and it was no fault of my peers on the CT Staff, the G10 was enabled at one or two front line bases.  I saw that and moved the plane, and I told the Axis players as I was doing it just what my intentions were.  None of them voiced any protest.

You seem to have an issue with the C47 not being enabled for the Axis.  It was done to keep the focus on airwar on the European continent, and to keep the theme of the setup in place:  D-Day.  The Axis can capture bases, they just have to be on the Continent.
Other than the above mentioned changes, which all took place last week, please point out the changes to the rules and setup?

Except that if we don't change sides and capture the bases for the allies they tend not to get captured.  If they do capture a base they can't hold it for long.  My gripe would be that it limited the ground war considerably.  That is an element that I enjoy from time to time, especially the tank battles.  Whenever the Axis side turned Overlord into Seelowe we (axis) had much more fun.  And we tend to keep what we capture the whole week.  So from my view it was an attempt to have the game go your way, or else why would you not give us our uber Tantu Ju?

And what exactly do they do?

Could care less if you got a complaint about a setup or the way this CT staff runs the show, hell I'd even be willing to support you if I knew what the hell you were saying.

But you choose to come here on a BBS from America, talking about a game Made in USA and spew anti-American sentiment.  To that I say go yourself.

May I suggest choosing your words a bit more carefully unless that insult was what you truly intended.

How was anything he said interpretted as insulting bug?  The Finns are nothing but gentlemen and great players.  I welcome their comaraderie and their participation.  Careful your prejudices are showing.

Why does he throw American in there?  Why not "I never figured game producers"  or better yet "CT staff", although the last one is obvious.  Seems to me that prejudice is pretty clear on Zuum's part.

I'm also not judging ALL Finnish players, just Zuum's behavior.

But on the other hand I could care less if my prejudice shows through, they don't seem to have a problem reciprocating across the Atlantic.  So just so it's clear to you Storch I can't stand Middle Eastern Wackjob zealots or Eurotrash( 'cept the Brits).

Bring back isolationism I say, let  them start killing themselves again.  If not that a resurgence in Imperialism would be nice, some people are just incapable of governing themselves.

Now there's a conclusion.

Good call me predjudiced, I prefer to think of it as statistics, but that is only semantics.  Some people are just the way they are because of their history, culture or enviroment nothing says I have I have to like them for it.

If you are referring to the Canucks it's a joke and if you didn't get that I have to add I'm VERY predjudiced against stupid people.

If your comment is in reference to the chosen wack jobs, I fail to see how I'm wrong. Please enlighten me.

HOW can you have a website about Finland and it not mention the WRC Rally of Finland in it!?!?!

Finland is the home of the greatest Rally drivers of all time, they have more than all other countries together. Timo Makinen, Vatanen, Mikkola, Allen, Salonen, Toivonen, Kankkunen, Tommi Makkinen,  and Gronholm.

As a Canadian I find your generalisation  offensive.Whether it was a joke or not it is offensive. We weren`t timid and easily pushed around in the war of 1812,the Boer War, WW1,WW2,Korea,Bosnia,etc.....We kicked arse in 1812 with less numbers than the Americans,we fought valiantly in South Africa,we got gased inWW1 and NEVER ran,we were in WW2 WAY before the USA was,we held ground in Korea that nobody else could,we fought in Bosnia and kept the peace.....are we timid and easily pushed around?I THINK NOT SIR!

Put it back in the holster there friend. You're new here aren't you? :D
I assure you that Bug knows his history but he's not above yanking anyone's chain when he gets a chance. If we his squadmates can put up with him, all the time, I'm sure you can tolerate him in small doses.

Rules to live by when associating with Bug.

1. TheBug blows sunshine up no one's arse, not even his Canadian CO or his squadmates, especially his squadmates, believe me on this. Not even on christmas mind you.
2. TheBug is not prejudice, he hates everyone equally.
3. TheBug's genius is often misunderstood by us commoners.
4. TheBug is not so much a person but a state of mind.
5. TheBug can troll with the best of them.
6. A better wingman you will not find, except when he cuts in front of me.
7. As hard as it is to believe sometimes, TheBug really is a great guy.
So great in fact, he will most assuredly put me on kp duty for saying anything nice about him. And I would expect no less from him.:rofl
