even thoagh I prefer to fly allied aircraft I have a deep respect for lufftwaffe pilots espeicial ME-262 pilots here you can talk about your sorties if you want and talk about others too or just talk about random stuff but please stay on topic

If you have a specific question, that's one thing, but you're just trolling for post counts now.

when hunting buffs, come in fast from a high 3 - 9 line, or attack them head on and coming down at an angle. Watch your speed when making slashing attacks, stay fast when enemy fighters are around.
I mostly use my 262 to go looking for buffs
-
one time in a 262 i killed all 3 buffs in one pass,
in tour 97 I did 310 kills for 3 deaths in a 262. 2 of those deaths were my own stupid fault, the one death to enemy hands was seano, he was most likely 25k, doing 600mph in a pony, when i didn't see him :D
I like to hunt NOE and fly in and around busy enemy bases, if there is a sniff of bombers about i'm onto them. The closure rate doing 500 + on the deck means you can usually catch people on climbout or afk.
In short if you have 100% SA you are untouchable. You can be aggressive but the key strength is raw speed, you decide when you want to engage and disengage.
262 vs 262 fights are FUN!

Whacked Seano's 262 in an LA (not taking any credit). They had our base capped so I upped from the next closest...flew over the town and saw a 262 go vert....

I only fly the 262 on the deck, looking for unweary pilots gone to the kitchen to get a snack.

I am a horrible 262 pilot. I have better luck shooting them down.

Not really...maybe if I did it in a plane above 30ENY I woulda been happy...but otherwise...I felt like a dweeb for flying a La. :)

Are those tracer trails from the 262 or the 234?
-
He says he likes shooting them down, and they're on the 262, so I assume they're from his tail guns.

The 262 is a difficult plane to fly against anyone who has a clue. They will always call out, "Hey, the 262 is coming down." and then break hard so you can't follow. That's why you need a squaddie to play bait. C-hogs work very well for this. The C-Hog, when flown well, will slow them down enough that they cant get out of your way quickly enough when you come zooming in from out of icon range. If they get out of the way, either the C-hog or your other buddy in another 262 will get them. Drazz and Trol! :rock

Unless you happen to be Grizz, who I am fairly confident has a Jedi mind trick projector beam on the nose of his 262, that commands people to willingly fly in front of his cannons....
-
Flying a 262 on the deck does hide you a bit but isnt a good idea especially if you know there is alot of high cons around. I grab to about 6k then get to about 450 before heading into a fight. I try to cut corners on planes that I see split Sing or flat turning which really helps, especially when my tatoring is on. The most I have eer done in a 262 was 9.....tators were flying like M2s :D
-
From my 234.
A fix is needed than as the cannons in the 234 were only capable of firing to the dead 6. Besides, why is there cannons as the canons were only fitted to test a/c, so should be deleted.
-
He wa shooting straight back, its called using your rudder fyi

Word. So, milo, how many lessons can I put you down for at Spikes' Top Gun Arado Academy?

No they weren't. Guess we should take out the P51 too or something in the MA since they didn't shoot at eachother in real war.
I flipped my rudder to the left while firing...if you don't believe I'll be glad to show you. :)
-
Jet bomber dweeb. :) I fly the 262 like a man. Ram the crap outta people.

did you ram one of my friends in the MALB on 11/29/2009 right in front of a B24? because that might have been me in the B24

Ill hafta consult with my little black book, simply called "Kjetils Rams" but its a definite possibility.

Not from you, be sure. :) If rudder was used, then the fuselage would turn and the guns would STILL be firing dead astern. :devil

If you put in left rudder, the a/c would have turned left pointing the tail to the right. :O Hard to hit an a/c that is at the 7 o'clock position. :x
-
By ruddering left I meant swinging the plane left while looking backwards, which is normally the way im looking anyway. So technically you are turning right.
-
First time I upped a 262 and got off the gound with it, I got shot down by an arado. I was dumb and came it dead 6 on it. That was really embarassing when people found out. Squadies started blabbing.

:aok A rare display of honesty among 262 sticks!

For the Me 262 experten, there is the upcoming scenario "The Final Battle". You can come teach late-war allied planes a lesson -- if you've got the teaching ability. :)

only thing that bothers me in AH 262 is the total carefree engine management. You can increase or reduce your throttle practically numerous times in a sec and your engine keep working like nothing happent. In RL that was not the case. The engine management required almost all off the pilot dedication plus he had to be real gentle when he touched the throttle otherwise the engine would suffer by overheats or even totally failure. I'm afraid that 262 engine management in AH is not realistic.
-
If you want realism, this isn't the place.
-
you forgot to say ...or the time. Seriously now I'm not asking for realism, as in a sense of reality. I'm asking for near-realistic as possible. Don't think its to hard to attain a certain level of near-realistic sim configuration when it it comes to a software modification.

the problem, having the so called complex engine management is not fun..just like guns jamming and having to press "J" to clear them is just annoying. The you have to decide where to draw the line.
The 262 is my fav bird in the game, I love flying it.
on a seperate note, when we fly some 262 sorties I can only imagine how hard it must of the been for the pilots not to loose each other..must have took alot of skill.
-

No, but it is the balance between total realism and fun. As noted, there is a line that has to be drawn. If you want super realism, then I suggest going to the nearest military flight simulator station and asking them if you could have a ride.
-
thnks for the advice but i have already done this with the sim of T-6A Texan II, T-2 Buckeye, F-16 Block 30 and Mirage 2000-5Mk2, hey i have even try the EF-2000 sim, but that has nothing to do with what we are talking about here

There is a ~12 second delay from moving the joystick throttle to wide open/idle to when N1 reaches maximum from minimum and vis versa. Simulating the pilot restriction that the throttle had to be opened/closed slowly?
-
yes i have notice that BnZs, maybe you have a point here but still i think there is enough room for improvement

I mostly use buffs for shooting down 262's got more 262 kills in buffs than i do in fighters! :airplane:
