Title: AK's seeking small squads for FSO
Post by: Shrike on August 04, 2014, 08:02:05 PM
The AK’s are largely comprised of previous AH smaller squads (3 to 5 pilots). We are also very active with FSO.  We’re aware some of you in smaller squads may not have enough members to commit your squad to FSO. Therefore, we would like to extend an invitation to your squad to join us on Friday nights for FSO.  There are FSO limitations we are required to adhere by so we would need advanced notice if you’re interested in flying with us on Friday nights.  FSO should be enjoyed by everyone in the AH community and we would like to provide an opportunity for the smaller squads in AH.

The AK’s have enjoyed a long standing stable structured organization and have been in the cartoon pilot community since the early 90's.  Our members are from around the country, Canada, and from overseas.  Several of us have US military backgrounds others have family members who flew WWII aircraft but all of us are general aviation and Aces High enthusiasts.  If you or your squadron mates are interested in flying with us on Friday nights contact dogtag380 (AKTap), Shrike (AKShrike), or SCCA (AKMeathd) via forum PM and we’ll get you in the FSO game. Happy hunting!!

I’ll leave you with a film AKTap put together during a recent FSO frame.  Crank it up and select HD.

Tx Nef  :salute

We try to focus on our mission, not on getting kills (unless of course that's the mission)...  It's a very different mentality than the MA that's for sure.

Orders should be out soon but we'll be flying Axis again this week.  Last week we provided escort duties with the Muppets for the 162nd FG Purple Hearts who pulverized their target and returned home to tell their loved ones.  Please PM me, Tap, or Meathd if your squad or small group of friends are interested in flying Frame 2.

October FSO frames are scheduled for 10-OCT, 17-OCT, and 24-OCT.  If you would like to fly with us for any of these FSO frames we will need advanced notice.  We had a great turn out for September FSO and expect the same in October.  We’ll be flying Allies in October so contact us today!!
