Title: A Father thing
Post by: Stampf on December 01, 2006, 12:29:51 PM
Friday’s here, the work week done
Its time for rest, its time for fun
Up in the skies of Aces High
To fly and fight and hopefully not die
This game is unlike any I’ve known
You’ll understand, once you’ve flown
A butcher bird into the fray
Why this game is all I play

A combat sim and so much more
I’ve played so long my arse got sore
All night long and morning too
Fly and fight it’s what we do
No one makes me pay my fees
Just wish they’d fix the damn invisi- trees.
German planes are what I like best
But you can choose from all the rest
HTC has got it all
I kid you not, this games a ball

My squad they mean a lot to me
The best friends Ill never see
Strange that a simple game can make
A ring of friends not soon to break
Aces High’s for young and old
All I meet, I have told
About this game, about you all
That by your skill you’ll stand or fall

So many different styles and types
You’d think some were mad from all the gripes
Never will all of us agree
But sign in now and you will see
Although opinions not all share
In the end…we’ll all be there…

Thank you HiTech for one more thing
That your creation to me does bring
The best of all of this you see…

Is that my son does fly with me.

and to the gods at aces high
one request for me to fly
that bird we lack
for droppings eggs and ground attack
a B TWO FIVE
with the big nose gun of  7  5
tis my request
of all the buffs
i like it best

awesome post by the way Stampf

Thank you and Salute to all as well.  With all the arguing and posturing, the real joy and entertainment we all get from this game is sometimes lost in the muck.

Nothing in this FUBAR world is perfect nor ever will be.  I like to focus on the positive things though, seeing as this is the world I live in.

It seems that Stampf was thinking back to all the things he'd posted
The good the bad the happy sad when suddenly he noticed
His post of prose had barely rose among the many threads
So like a Phoenix from the depths he bumped it back from certain death
Not about the content nor to worry about its age
He boldly bumped it back to life to reach a second page

Good stuff!  Funny how I was just typing some comments about raising and spending time with my kids.  But in my case Stampf, it is still like we speak different languages (and they will be reaching 30 soon).  I wouldn't trade them for the world.

I remember RMRider and Stampf would keep me company in the AvA in the old days.   Three or four of us in the arena and we'd be having a blast (mostly the blast was my planes exploding).
