Title: the 582nd has reformed into the 20th Loco Busters.
Post by: 321BAR on September 21, 2010, 12:08:37 PM: <S> everyone. for those who do not know us, we used to be the only true Japanese based squad in the Main Arenas (if i remember correctly). Due to the lack of enthusiasm for recruiters to join an A6M squad :rolleyes: we have decided to reform as the 20th FG "Loco Busters". We are a dedicated Bishop escort squad which flies P38s and P51s in missions. Although this is our main role, we fly anything we want when we want :aok

We are always looking for new recruits. If anyone is interested, you can PM me or one of our recruiters here or seek us out in game (usually orange arena) on vox channel 158. anyone willing to just fly with us is also welcome to make home on this channel (courtesy permitting of course ;) )

We are also dedicated to the ideal of no man left behind. We set up wingmen in flights and if our wingman or squaddies are in trouble, we try our best to make sure that we all make it home together kills logged or not.

thank you sir <S> i try not to take away from any of my squaddies though. All of these guys (and boys in viper and eric's cases :D ) are great to fly with, good flyers, and great to know. Each brings a piece of style with them when they fly. :cool: even if you choose not to join up with us, people are free to fly on vox 158 either just to get the feel of the crew or to have fun on our sorties. <S>

its just a thing that our squad does. if you see a 2ACG skin, that is my private skin while my flight would use another (such as the blue nose, but for that flight, the 91st and the 20th covered the dickweeds so we mainly used the blue nosed only).

The mission went great for 91st as far as I could tell. I saw impressive "Landed Successfully" notifications in the text buffer several minutes after bombs away. After the escort was over the 20th burned a lot of E and started working on some enemy fighters. Some guy HO'd me and shot my oil before I could get a kill but I managed to rtb safely. Overall I had a lot of fun and it felt great to fly with such an organized group.

I'm not very experienced and haven't become very well acquainted with most of the squads in AH, but I agree with your assessment. ;)

I haven't read this thread through and I don't know much about the 20th, but I'm guessing escort missions are a pretty standard affair, because these guys seemed like they knew what they were doing. I don't think I'd ever be able to pull myself away from the Dynamite Gang's base-taking antics, but for guys who want to do some serious dogfighting as a team I'd recommend the Loco Busters. Call me crazy, but I would have snuck an egg with me on that mission if I could, maybe let it sit in my lap like I was Santa... I don't know... I just love watching hangars burn :t

It's cool, dawg. Squaddies come first. And I'm still not a 100% sure some of my mates won't be in the scenario, so a lot of stuff is up in the air right now. Well... I guess "up in the air" isn't something bad to say about a situation in Aces High, but you know what I mean :D

Fellas, awesome job. Thanks for joining in and helping the AvA a fun place to fly also.

This weeks setup is new. It was developed by Cap. He wanted the historical characters Boyington and Black Sheep squadron to have a place in the arena. Early model Corsairs against Zekes and Tonys. The Island hoping supply chain is represented in the Coral Sea map, and so far having flown both sides have found the plane sets to be a good match. P38s are available as they came into the islands and replaced the Tomahawks and Cobras. The P38s are limited to Henderson field and other rear bases, but can easily reach the main conflict zone. Who knows if it is the "Blenders" or the "Hogs" that will finally become the equal or better the Japanese precision aircraft. Come visit the Axis versus Allies Arena this week, and help to decide.

:salute Loco Busters, a fun group to fly with. May you reach all of your goals, AH2 will be better for it.

Beginning the first monday in may, the 20th will be switching to rook and then knight. This is not going to change our squad night escorts for bishops. As everyone should know, the 20th has never been dedicated to a country but to certain squadrons. To change it up a little we decided to do this. This does not have anything to do with any bishop squadrons as all of you are fun to fly with <S> after May (or June) there's 95% chance that we will be Bishop again :aok
