I just upgraded my PC sound system from standard 2 channels stereo to 5.1.
I'm very deluded that I can hear nothing from the rear speakers while playing AH.
All the 5 speakers are working perfectly - for instance - in Colin Mc Rae Rally 3.
Is it AH not supporting the rear speakers or something I set wrong ?
Thank you in advance for helping.
Best regards

Aces High works fine in my 5.1 sound, good from all five speakers and subwoofer.

Make sure you have your speaker configuration set correctly in the Windows "Sound and Multimedia" panel in the Control Panel.
Select the Audio tab and in the "Sound Playback" portion, press the "Advanced" button and you will see the speaker configuration.
The 5.1 option should be near the bottom of the drop down list.

I could solve all the problems by installing more recent drivers for my soundcard, while all configs were correct.
Thank you for helping

can't tell if you've solved it or not,
I have Logitech surround speakers, and turning on (on the volume control pad) M3D kills sound for the rear surround speakers in AH.

My 5.1 works fine in AH but if 5.1 isn't enabled in control panal rear speakers don't work any time.

it works great but do not expect true surround effects

As AH sounds are mono only and not even stereo that's not too surprising :)

Sounds must be mono in order for DirectSound to place them correctly in 3D space.
