Title: Video Card Memory

Aces High doesnt seem to want to use all of my video memory.
Of the 32MB available it seems to use about 8MB normally with about 21 FPS.
When in dense areas, or when theres smoke (from blown hangars) the video memory used doesnt seem to increase but my framerate drops (down to about 12 at times).
Any ideas how i can change this??
My system specs are:
P3 1ghz processor.
256MB sdram.
Intel 82815 graphics controller.
OS windows 2000.

Also how can i adjust or configure my video card?

Im no computer expert.
All help appreciated.

really you need to get more memory 256 wont do with Ah2 i hear so you need 512. that card you have=POS dump it and buy an ATI video card.you will be out of AH in about say 2 or 3 months with that video card.

If your vidio controler is built onto your motherboard, go into bios and see how much memory you have assigned to it.

Go into the bios (ussuallly its hold down the "Del" key) when ur pc starts up ... look for the amount of memory is assigned for vga

try to adjust it all the way up  onboard vga's ussually adjust
1mb,2mb,8mb,16mb,32mb, or 64mb ...  remember this uses your installed Ram  as you increase this ..

There is a good chance that the Intel video controller does not have dedicated ram and is using system ram for its storage.  Seems to be the way with this video chip to save money.
Even with its own video ram, it will never perform very well.  It is a cheap OEM solution to allow computer makers to sell computers for less.
Best solution it to get an aftermarket video card to replace it, if you can replace it.

Seriously, get yourself a decent video card. It's the Intel chipset that's holding you back - it's not designed as a gaming chipset. If you haven't got an AGP slot, get yourself a new motherboard too. On a price/performance basis the two best are the Radeon 9600xx and the GeForce FX 5700. That said, with a P3-1000, you'll do fine with a second-hand GeForce 4 4200 or better.
