Sold the F150 today.
Then picked this up, too good of deal to pass up .
1997 4WD Ford F250 Heavy Duty 7.5 liter (460 cu.inch, comes with a Texas oil well deed) XLT,Camper package, "power everything". This will carry an 11 ft. camper on the back along with towing a boat. Only 59,000 miles on it. One owner (old guy) Clean Carfax...blah blah blah

I like that body style a little better than the new trucks. What kind of gas mileage is that 460 getting?
MiniD
-
Nice truck, and agree with mini. That has classic lines.
-
Nice ride Rip:aok
-
How much did you pay for it?
eskimo
-
Does it get to park on carpet every nite also?
-
Yeah, I had a 95 SuperCab in that style; a 302 though. Wasn't pulling anything then!
It'll sure do the job until the boys get too big for the rear jumpseats. With mine, that happened about 8th grade. By then, though, you can find a Crew Cab.
The 460 is a tough motor; 59,000 is barely broke in. And it'll pull a house off it's foundations.
You're ready to ride. Congrats!
-
Thing looks brand new too... well done.
-
All it needs is a gunrack and some chrome naked lady mudflaps.
-
lol raub!
Mini--The engine was a turn off, and a turn on...turn off for the fuel burn rate (10-12 with a camper, 14 without) and turn on for the power, when you rev it, the damn truck feels like its riding up 6 inches, but you can watch the gas guage start reaching for your wallet.
Its going to sit 11 months out of the year, so I'm not concerned on the fuel aspect of it.
Toad, never thought of the "outgrowing" part..hmm, that gives me roughly 7 years... :(
Eskimo, its always "too much", wherever you buy um. ;) But I will tell you it was less than $13,000.
-
Nice truck. I keep trying to convince the house spouse we need one like that to pull the T-bird to car shows. I just can't seem to justify the need to have a fourth vehicle.
She is right I guess.

Nice truck and very clean! :)
-
I like the truck. The lines do make it look old, but for a camper host? It's perfect. And I like the old looking trucks too.
I really like the Anti- School Crossing speed limits cage on the front.
The handgun post pry saved you 10K. The BBS has it's merits. WTG Ripsnore!

I like the ad on the front liscense plate frame:D

Hey, that guy across the street needs to something with his lawn.

Homeowner 1 is slacking, seriously as a matter of fact. Bringing
the whole Nieghborhood down.
Where as Homeowner 2 is on it, well groommed a couple of small
burn streaks but over all not bad.
He does need to work on his cutting levels, cutting extremely to short.
His attention to detail is excellent tho, notice the well maintained
road grass boderline technique. Breathtaking, very well done.
-
LOL Monk! A couple of liberal school teachers have it for sale (We could tell they were libs when they no longer would say boo to us after my wife put up the Bush signs in 2000, they countered with a Nader sign) They've always been the slackers on lawn maintenance and we call them the "Weed Cultivators" during the summer months because they lawn comes into full weed bloom, then passes their seeds downwind to the manicured lawns. :D They're selling the house now though.
I think a pimp pistol would go great with this truck, lots of gold plating....what do you think Creamo? :p
-
LOL those are the angry liberal school teachers you were telling me about? Its obvious now, they dont want to control and limit the free development of nature.. :lol

Go do a fat arsed wheel spin in your fat arsed truck along the borderline :D
You must get gas reaaaaaaal cheap over there.. that thing would cost the GDP of a small country to it run here.
-
Yeah? But can she do a detail job like THIS?
Took 6 hours today,
Washed with Dawn to strip old wax
Claybar
Machine Polish #2
Machine Polish #3

Cost of gas is not an issue when the subject vehicle is gonna be driven less than 2000 miles a year. ;) (However, I do have to travel 3200 miles next spring round trip to pick up the camper)
-
i hope a bird poop's on it.
nice job
