Got hit with spyware recently, cleaned it up with spybot, but these "administrative restrictions" on my internet options prevent me from fixing my homepage, etc..

I'M THE ADMIN!

Need some help :(

The pages are also scrolling very slowly, and when i click a link it takes a second for it to actually highlight and take me there..

IT's gotten better everywhere else but the AHBB, admin thingie still pissing me off.

RUy, try purging the IE history, cache, and temp files under "Tools" and "Internet Options".  While you are there, set the cache size to about 15 MB.

Do a pingplot and see if it is the Internet.  Check your task manager and see if the system is idle.  Should be hangin around 99% when at the desktop.

Are you loged on as administrater or as user?
