I am sure many of you Il2 FB folks have seen the 1.2 beta. I put off loading but was finally convinced bty a friend of mine.

The p51 is truely the cadillac of the sky. Nothing wil be able to touch as long as the pilot has a clue.

The ki-84 imho will be almost unbeatable even if the guy flying is using a mouse.

The a6m5a is teh roXXor.

Imagine when the spits and 38 arrive. Normandy will be no place for a lowly 109 pilot.



I am sure the final release of 1.2 will have have some additional changes but I think I am turning Japanese, I really think so.

So, lets see... I go into a server with the 1.2beta.

I start off with the P51. First flight - 5 kills against a combo of (1) 109K4, (1) 109G2, (2) Ki84s, and (2) A6M5bs - land it. Damn, that just can't be.. hang on...

First flight with the Zero, 2 kills in a fight against THREE P51s. (third one augered) - landed. Second flight, THREE kills in a fight against 1 P51 and 2 P40s - landed.  Third flight... three more kills in that flight with the Ki84 against THREE P51s - landed.

Those Japanese planes look so sexzzzzzy, and they just... man... against a great pilot kick ass... against anyone else they dominate.

Back up your files.sfs, il2_core.dll and mg_snd.dll.

This way if you want to fly on servers running 1.11 you can just replace those files.

But there are plenty of 1.2 servers to be found. The official 1.2 should be out shortly and like I said something will in all likelyhood be changed.

if a guy where to decide to install that patch.  which folder would he extract the files to.

FB base folder, where the executable resides

Be sure to have "use folder names" checked.
