I sure hope the GV model in AH2 is more consistent than the one we have now. I just shot a Panzer in the rear 6 times before it exploded then took one hit to the frontal armor of my Tiger and exploded. (Panzer shot me from over 2k away) Also, anyone else seeing rounds pass through GV's besides me?

Well send some my way, I dont think I have ever had a *cheap kill* on a Tiger :D
-
problem isnt damage model, its position model.
the reason your tiger died from 2.0k is the panzer hit your underside on his fe as your tiger pointed nose up.
-
We were both on flat ground, same elevation, my Tiger wasn't pointed nose up or nose down. That also doesnt explain how I could put 6 88mm shells into the back end of a Panzer (2 into the turret, 3 into the engine compartment and one into the right track) without killing him, all hits were from 600 yards and less.
Wait...3rd rnd into the engine comaprtment (6th hit) killed him

it happens on some connections, far away GVs will act like the distant planes that don't receive very frequent updates untill closer: they blink from pointing head-on to sideways to pointing away and into the ground.
-
That could explain it Moot, I have seen the gvs that do what you just described. It's entirely possible that I was tilting upwards when the rnd hit my Tiger.

trust me elfie thats what happens any time a tiger dies from long range to a panzer.
only way to counter it is to always be moving forward if being shot at, even if in just first gear.
