Title: Should this be HTC's highest priority?
Post by: Ripsnort on September 25, 2000, 09:18:00 AM
Getting a different terrain in, or allowing user created terrains (I've seen some fantastic ones!) to be used in Main?

This terrain is getting quite boring lately, I remember something about the terrain changing each tour, but don't remember when this will take affect...

I believe the terrain will change to the "modified beta" at the start of the next tour.  Tours have been changing around the first of the month.

So, Modified Beta on October 1, is my guess.  Should be some interesting tank battles in the canyons.   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Rip,

Don't forget we're getting a Navy in 1.05, this means modified terrains to include Naval Yards. Plus a new version of the terrain editor to include the capability of building those yards.

Maniac,

Yep. Verm made a central med map, but I find it a little hard to use. He threw in so many "show-off" aircraft on every field that frame-rates bite the big one. Knowing Verm he'll fix that problem, plus change the textures on the coastline.
