How long can a game id be? Is it 8 alpha-numeric characters? Reason I ask is that after over 2 years I'm thinking of changing my callsign to something besides jonnyb.

Suggestions (yes, I know I'm asking for trouble here) will be welcomed. I'll even give an incentive...if I like the choices and I actually pick one of them, the winner will get an AH t-shirt courtesy of me.

For the funny ones, so far pugehenis and ah2dolt are the ones that had me laughing.

I was originally going to pick devildog, but it was already taken. I don't want to pick devldog (although that was my motorcycle license plate) because it is too close to devildog.

gologt, to change your callsign, you have to ask HTC to delete your current Game Id (I think Yankee handles those requests). When that happens, you'll be prompted to choose a new one the next time you connect.

Me and a bunch of buddies went out drinking and I was drunk (and hongry) when I got home so I made a pot of grits and ate the whole thing since they didnt want any for some reason. They had heard of grits, but had never seen them and it freaked them surfer boys out. Next thing you know Im Grits. :)

I think "Topgun" hollywood names like Viper, Cobra, Maverick etc that you give to yourself are kinda masturbatory, but thats just me. ;)

There's a really big "dog" trend. Lot's of "dog" players. So to avoid confusion I suggest something "dogish."

Did the historical name before, recommend against it. Doesnt look right seeing Pips or Prillr landing in anything but a 190. Not saying it's bad--just not right. Hartman/Bubbi, Galland, and Marseille should be landing in 109's.

"Gabreski landed 4 victories in a A6M5..."---see what I mean?

"Nobody landed 4 victories in a A6M5..."---looks better huh?
