USN VF-84 "Wolf Gang" is looking for a few dedicated "Hog & Cat" drivers that want to be a part of a good squadron.  The most important thing we believe in is to have fun and enjoy ourselves. We pride ourselves on teamwork and having a great time when we fly together. If you're interested contact me on listed below and we will get back with you quickly.

P.S. Don't bring your own inflatable goat doll you will be issued one after acceptance to the unit.

Also, VF-84's fly Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat and we are looking forward to see member(opening for XO) to joined VF-84 "Wolf Gang."

BTW, Yeah that's the picture I like and also I am looking for VF-84 Wolf Gang noseart which it is a dog with guns(thats all i know about it).

You won't find an image of VF-84 noseart (I'm pretty sure). I think I once ran across a patch or logo but it's, at best, an unofficial approximation based on written accounts. The default skin of the AH F4U-1D is pretty accurate.

That's true, Arlo and it would be hard to find that little noseart.  The default of skin of the AH F4U-1D is our plane for VF-84 and which it belong to Roger R. Hedrick former XO for VF-17 "Jolly Rogers."

Hey Rafe that patch is available from them. Its only $7 and I was thinking about ordering it and scanning it in to pass over to you as nose art. If you want it let me know and I will order it and once I scan it and get it done I will mail it to you to have. I did the same thing with the VF-17 Commemorative patch that you can get from the same site. Otherwise let me know if you want me to try and make the patch in Photoshop. I am working on pilot badges tonight for the guys in VF-17.

You sure?  I was thinking that's good idea, but you didnt have to order it and it really up to you.  I was thinking that you talking about the patch....I guess you got it at planegfx.com ?

Here is that site you mentioned. However you might want to poke your head over to the site for VMF-444 "The Barbary Corsairs" and follow their links page. The CO is the one who runs that site I linked above and I know he doesn't take nicely to someone "borrowing" without asking.

Ok Squids, I'm sending out another call for Hog and Hellcat Pilots!

On Saturday Dec. 6th the CAP event is returning to the Pacific with the Allies invadinig Leyte.

The F4U1D will be making it's Pacific CAP debut, and will be pivotal in the Allied Achievement of their Objectives. For more information on the CAP event, check out the CAP forum at:

Sounds like a nice idea Sik. I have wanted to try the CAP's for a while but never have had the chance. I will make it to that one for sure. I will pass on the information to the rest of VF-17 as well.
