I have an ATI 9600 video card on my system. What I would like to know is what are the best settings in the Video card control panel for AH.
My system is:
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe (latest drivers )
XP2800 333FSB
512 mb of Matched Corsair XMS3200 DDR 400MHz Dual Channel Memory
ATI 9600 128mb DDR ram (Cat 3.7)
Sound Blaster 5.1 gamer sound card. (lastest drivers)
ANTEC PS 430 watts
Maxtor 120GB HD w/8mb buffer w/WinXP Pro
Maxtor 60GB HD w/8mb buffer w/Win98SE
Maxtor 20GB HD w/Redhat 9.0
Going threw a Trios II Plus Multi Drive Selector
AH is on the 98SE Drive
I've gone into the video card control panel and I'm lost as to what settings they should be at for AH. Right now I have them all set to the Defaults.
Any Help as to what other people have there ATI video card settings for AH would be Greatly Appreicated.
Thanks

With that system, you could probably run AH at the highest resolution. I have a Radeon 9500 with a P4 2.6 and I run at the max res. with 50-70 FPS.

I'd upgrade those drivers to the Cat 3.8's or 3.9's. Newer drivers change the 3d page in your display panel advance section.
Gives you a slider that by default is centered 50/50 quality/perf.
Your rig oughta be able to run AH balls out quality which would
be like 16x FSAA, 4x Smoothvision, Highest Quality textures and
mipmaps.

I basically have the same system except xp2700 400fsb and I'm running AH on XP. At max res. it runs a constant 75fps.
