Get them!!!!!
My frame rate increased by 15% in the tower w/o the clipboard showing and when in a tower at a field with lots of AAA and planes my frame rate barely took a hit...will see how they do with lots of smoke and clouds tonight (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Overall I'm impressed.

Could either of you be so kind as to tell me the link? My Viper550 needs a good kick in the butt.

www.nvidia.com (http://www.nvidia.com)
Look under drivers.

Beware, the link I have seen here pointed to ver616, if you go on the NVidia Site (www.nvidia.com) you will find ver618

I have a Creative labs Ultra TNT2 32 meg card, do these apply to it? (Video card illiterate here)
-
Yes Rip,
These drivers are for ALL Nvidia cards and chipsets. If you want to wait, I will test and benchmark them and post the results here, probably later today or this evening.

I'd appreciate that KBMan, thks!

Do these drivers support 1024x768 in 32 bit color? (Diamond Viper V770 Ultra)

Interesting. On one of my PC's (PII-350, 192MB RAM, Viper V770 Ultra) the FPS for AH went down by about 13%, from 30 to 26. In WB, went down from 30 FPS in flight to 20 FPS. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/confused.gif) The previous drivers were the 4.02 Diamond ones.

Rendar...
Did you do ma complete re-install?
What I did:
In the device Mgr. removed the existing TNT driver then in the control panel/add/remove progies I removed the nvidia there also.
Re-boot and do not let windoz install the driver. From here just manualy install the driver from the unziped file. Just upgrading drivers IMO is not the way to go.
I don't use regclean since I truly belive in reformating my boot drive every 3-4 months.
You are running direct 7a right?
Hope this helps, I have had problems with the detonator drivers in the past giving me less performance <used the 2.08 drivers for a long time> But this time I was pleasently suprised.

I completely wiped everything from Diamond. I have DX 7.0a.

Well folks,
I tried them and they benchmark slightly below the 5.22 Nvidia build in 3DMark 2000. But in AH they show a slight increase in FPS over the 5.22s at 1024 32 bit at least on my setup. Both builds as ALL Nvidia reference drivers show a significant DECREASE in FPS from the original 4.01 Diamond drivers that came with the card./They are the best of the Nvidia builds I have tested and if you have a GEForce card they will probably give you the best T&L performance and antialiasing but for TNTIIs
which dont have the hardware capability I think you are better off with the manufacturers drivers. They "look" different visually and I havent made up my mind if it's "better" or not yet. I will post back more info including benchmark results in the H&S forum after I have tried them out for a while.
