I'd have to disagree with the overpaid motivational speaker bit.  In that instance, you're paying for the name of the artist, kinda like the washed-up athlete.  I think people will still buy a Testaverde jersey on game day, simply because he's Vinny Testaverde (or Doug Flutie, or Emmitt Smith, or Jerry Rice, or Bill Romanowski as the case may be).

One way around the overpaid wedding photog is to put disposable cameras on the guest's tables and let them take their own pictures, then hire a moderate photog for the posed shots before, during, and after the ceremony.

That's what we did at our wedding, though my brother's camera was filled with crotch and boob shots of various women at the reception.  The price of freedom.

I agree about Real Estate agents.  I will be glad to see them eliminated the way travel agents were.

Agreed.

On my last house purchase we bypassed the real estate agents completely and between us (Dickey Bird and I) we saved $100,000 in commissions.

Not always possible, I'll admit, but it was really sweet on this transaction.
