It's time for me to replace my old Compaq MV720 17". I'm looking to get a nice 19" monitor that will last me for awhile. (at least 4 years) Any recomendations?

I also have this monitor, and I love it. I recently lugged it to the minicon, and even though I ALSO had a digital projector with me, many people commented "Hey, that's a really nice monitor - when did you get it."
Its two years old now, but I guess compared to others, it still looks great!

i've had a Nokia 446xpro for just about 4 years, and it's still going strong.
NEC is another nice box...

NEC's MultiSync series monitors are excellent. Their cheaper AccuSync monitors are OK.

hehe, that's my thread. :D:cool: I've got that monitor on my new system upstairs, and I'm very glad I bought it. As well as the overall quality, a really neat feature is that the base of the unit acts as a USB hub- very nice for plugging in your mouse/KB/joystick etc - without having wires trailing down to the system unit. (However, some software doesn't recognise the mouse plugged into the USB, but it did once I'd made that BIOS change to allow USB legacy support.)

Viewsonic E220 . Good price and very good res/refresh rates for gaming.
