Man thats as pretty plane IRL.
-
It has 4 23mm cannon in the nose, these are same weapons as on our Il2... :aok
-
Its like a copy of FW190...
-
Hardly. The Lavochkin designs orginated from the old inline-engined LaGG-3 (pre-dates the FW-190) with a more powerful radial bolted on instead (La-5). The La-9 is a result of several iterations of stream-lining and materials improvements.
-
... resulting in a FW lookalike. :D
-
Just another target, pretty looking, but still a target.
-
Weren't the La7s fabricated from wood? So its kinda doubtful any would survive today (asides replicas)...I could be wrong, maybe I'm thinking of another Russian bird.
-
the only characterisics that might make you think it looks like a 190 are the squared off wingtips, radial engine and wide stance landing gear. Other then that it doest look like a 190 at all.
If you think that looks like a 190 you must think the Brewster buffalo looks like a 190 as well.
Yes the war time Lagg fighters were moslty wood. They didnt last long after the war unless they were in museums. Forturnalty several were so preserved.

Beware of "noobs" in LA7... ;)

you mean it what's happen when you put a P51 and a 190 alone in the same hangar ?
