It is frustrating when you are trying to attack a field with a GV and you face this problem. I wish HT would rethink it and change it.

Yes it is a bug . You have simulated projectiles shooting through simulated objects with no effect to the projectile or the object . And you have acks that are out of LOS shooting players that can neither see or shoot back at the acks, becuase the players unlike the acks cannot shoot or see through hangars and buildings . As if the game wasn't discouraging enough for vehicle drivers . I don't understand why you don't think this is a problem hitech .

Ack goes down at a field... an enemy GV drives to a hangar and parks. Even if ack comes back up, it can't touch him.
There is a reason that such silly things as ack shooting through buildings needs to be put in place.... us.

BTW... if the above happens (enemy GV in hangar) and the ack comes up, it is shooting across the runway and aircraft can't launch without being destroyed.
This is a lesson learned from experience. The ack has to be able to shoot through buildings.

Well it's simple ... it's the basic of bug definition
Did HT code in a way that Ack could NOT fire through buuilding ?
no ? => so i'ts not a bug it's a feature

Ack did not used to shoot through buildings. The introduction of GVs highlighted issues with that concept. Things were changed.
Its not a bug. Get over it.

Parking in a hangar to be protected from enemy fire, that's called utilizing cover and concealment, it's what ground units do .

Just pretend the all-seeing ack simulates all the ground troops every real airbase has. They'd not likely let you go unmolested for very long parked in one of their hangers.

Oh I see I've got to use more imagination . I'm not prentending enough, "ack got me.. no wait it was a mass of invisible soldiers with guided anti tank rockets shooting me from 1500 meters away" Gotchya ;)
Searioulsy though, it used to work right but a bunch of whiners got it changed ? Let me guess people would infiltrate an enemy base with a tank (like they're supposed to), and park in a structure for C&C, (like tanks in WWII) and killed alot of people that were stupid enough to keep trying to take off from that field. Thus initiating a cavalcade of whine threads on this BB . Kind of like when people were whining that they could no longer taxi through the rearm/refuel shack . Well thankfully we no longer have magic shacks at the refuel points, but we have magic acks .
Ok now I know, I didn't know this before . Surprisingly it was Dejavu who brought this information to my attention, although I don't think he meant to be constructive. But it should've been someone else .

I guess I would like to try the game without ack being able to shoot through buildings.
Tanks get into the hangars? Up tanks and go after them. VH down? Bring a plane from another field and attack. Let own country planes drop bombs that will penetrate hangars without damage to the hangar but kill any enemy inside. Would make some great strat kinda fighting. Actually sounds like an exciting fight to me.
Sure sounds better than using the ack as a means to balance the ground fight.

AA shooting through buildings makes it impossible for a tank to attack a town or drive into the street. Something that tanks did very well in WWII was attack towns. Too bad they can't do that very well in Aces High

Bomber gunners can't fire while in ground and it's good... so... modify acks to not fire through objects and gvs to not fire while parked into hangar.

From 1.09 readme file:
"Autogunners have been changed to take angular velocity into account when aiming. They will no longer target through hillsides or buildings."
This is why HTC is so cool, and by cool I mean totally sweet !
