Title: Logitech Freedom 2.4
Post by: Excaliber on November 16, 2003, 10:33:27 AM
Besides most of the buttons being in awkward positions on this stick, it is very responsive or hair triggered if you will. Unless someone has a profile that would make this stick more useable I will probably write this one off.
Can some of you suggest a good twisty stick? I've used MS Sidewinders for 6 or 7 years but they are no longer available.

there's also a dx tweaker from logitech that will allow you to fine tune the sensitivity of any logitech stick - might work with other sticks too.

I tried this one out too.  I could've gotten used to the X and Y in it but I like a twisty where the resistance on X, Y and twist are all
nearly the same.  Not so with the Freedom stick.  Furthermore, the pull required to get the stick off center made for a real bouncy nose.

I've tried a whole bunch and for me, the Sidewinder FF2 with force
disabled is without a doubt the best I've found.
