Title: Red Orchestra Maps
Post by: Octavius on November 18, 2003, 01:31:15 PM
If you haven't been frequenting the RO boards, some new maps have been released.

I haven't had a chance to test them out, but they seem pretty good... and any new map is a good map imo.
Kaukasus (Caucasus) (http://www.webbied.com/3dtronic/RO/RO-Kaukasus42_v08.zip) (Still alpha, but well liked and needs testing)

Countryside (http://members.surfeu.fi/curry32/RO-Countryside_v2.zip)

ColdDay (http://mikesmarauders.com/map_rotation/download/ro/ro_coldday.exe) It's in .exe format.  Don't worry, nothing malicious, just an extractor.

Summer44 (http://www.nim-rod.net/downloads/ro/ro-summer44.zip)
The map files (.ut2) are to be placed in your "\\ut2003\redorchestra\maps" directory.

PS:  I joined a squad - NKVD:Osnaz.

A few of my old DoD buddies are in - its a newer squad - just got our own server and looking for new people.  Check it out.

cool.  But saur, I always thought you were the German type :)

And... while I'm at it, how do I go about joining a dedicated server via IP?  I don't see any option in the server listing menu.

Any console commands?

also, how do I go about opening ports?

I would have prefered German - but I;d rather play with people I know that with a bunch of l337 g33k 15 year olds.

Console commands I dont know anything about.  I think the console command is just 'join'  If not - try connect - I have forgotten since I last used it - but IIRC its something simple.

No idea about ports.  Im not a m4d h4xx0rz.  :D

Im done with it till the map bugs are fixed and West coast gamers can get at least 150 or lower pings...

other than that its awesome none the lest.  Been spending my time in the DOD release... WW2OL  I'm not even gonna bother with after seeing those "aged" graphics.

You put that much importance on graphics? Too bad, WW2OL is a blast playing as a grunt.
