A good read.
To long for most lefties to be bothered with.
Those of you who scored (neg) some number on MT's test page.
First the Liberals will denounce the source, because its not on CNN or al-jazerha then they will get mad, then call me/ you names and then go away.
But they will not offer any proof to the contrary.

It would be much more compelling if there were names to the sources.
The only sources that were named was 2 reporters and an Iraqi intelligence officer who said SH wanted to distance himself from OBL.
I have to re-read the whole report.
It's interesting, but not convincing.

DoD Statement on News Reports of al-Qaida and Iraq Connections
News reports that the Defense Department recently confirmed new information with respect to contacts between al-Qaida and Iraq in a letter to the Senate Intelligence Committee are inaccurate.
A letter was sent to the Senate Intelligence Committee on October 27, 2003 from Douglas J. Feith, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, in response to follow-up questions from his July 10 testimony. One of the questions posed by the committee asked the Department to provide the reports from the Intelligence Community to which he referred in his testimony before the Committee. These reports dealt with the relationship between Iraq and al-Qaida.
The letter to the committee included a classified annex containing a list and description of the requested reports, so that the Committee could obtain the reports from the relevant members of the Intelligence Community.
The items listed in the classified annex were either raw reports or products of the CIA, the NSA, or, in one case, the DIA. The provision of the classified annex to the Intelligence Committee was cleared by other agencies and done with the permission of the Intelligence Community. The selection of the documents was made by DOD to respond to the Committee’s question. The classified annex was not an analysis of the substantive issue of the relationship between Iraq and al Qaida, and it drew no conclusions.
Individuals who leak or purport to leak classified information are doing serious harm to national security; such activity is deplorable and may be illegal.

It seems this administration can't make up it's mind... what to think... what to link... or what DISINFORMATION to LEAK to the press to MISLEAD the American people....
Ok... so now the story is... there's no Link between Saddam and 9/11... but there is definately a link between Saddam and Al-Qaeda....

Shortly the White House will leak that was once Saddam visited by Micheal Eisner to create a Middle-East Disney World in Iraq...
Could it be Mickey Mouse is an Al-Qaeda sleeper cell?
I think the Bush Admin is searching for a believable story as to why America went to war with Iraq
and so are YOU!

Reading this article makes me realize something.
It is really tough to step back really evaluate something you so desperately want to be true.
But it has to be done, otherwise you are simply deluding yourself, and not learning anything.
That's the case with this article, in my mind. It would be great if it were true, but I simply do not believe it is.
