Title: Skuzzy, I may have done it
Post by: LtMagee on November 20, 2003, 04:29:53 PM
As you already know I have/had dial up. I have had this problem since day one with AH. I purchased a new computer which with the memory and video card, eliminated my vedio problems as well as some what I thought to be connection problems.

Well, I just got DSL. It would take me three hours to download AH with my dial up. I did this no less than five times trying to get a fresh download hoping it would solve my nose bounce. Last night I removed everything that even resembled that it had to do with AH. I downloaded a fresh package in two min and 45 sec!! I remaped my stick settings, buttons and views only, and now I can even fly the F4F.

I will keep you informed (not that you want to be ;) ) on if this really fixed the problem. Last night had to be the best it has performed.

So does it appear that the slow download with dial-up some how corrupted the USB files for AH?

Got me on this one.  Unless the modem was sharing an IRQ with the USB port.

Accessories/system tools/system info in your start menu?

Should list virtually everything - see what the interupt section tells you about what interupts are being shared.  PCI Seering can be ignored.
