How come cannibalosm is not illegal in Germany?

"Prosecutors are seeking a conviction of murder for "sexual satisfaction", as cannibalism is not technically illegal under German law."

It has to do with this little thing called a blockade and an airlift that saved a country in 1946.

Check out this website (this link will take you directly to their BBS, topic: eating girls or women). Seems like a really worthwhile, health-oriented habit these guys are trying to promote. I especially like the first guy's note on the benefits of eating a 15 year old girl.

eating women?! (http://www.cannibalism.org.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=72&PN=1)

I'm all for freedom of speech but jeezus.

Is murder illegal in Germany?

If so(which it is), why does cannibalism need to be illegal?

Because you dont need to kill somebody to do it?  Anyway the whole thing is diguisting, though certainly not surprisng from that morally depraved society...

Well, physically assaulting someone (chopping their arm off to eat it) - no doubt is illegal there too.

So, what other argument do you have?

Damn those soccer players eating dead people to stay alive! Morally depraved bastards!

hehe, good ole' Jeff Dahmer.

Aside from being known for beer and alcoholics in Milwaukee, we're known for a famous homosexual cannibal :D

When I was in Germany I met two guys from India at a tavern.  The second I said "Milwaukee" they responded with "Dahmer?"

Germany is suffering from mass starvation on an isolated mountain, really?

But hey, go ahead and defend the cannibals!!!

Fact of the matter is, you can't defend making cannibalism being illegal.

If murder is illegal, thats one means of eating someone cancelled out.

If assaulting someone (taking their extremities) is illegal, thats another way.

If someone is willing to eat themself, and share it - you can't make that illegal unless you are a facsist.

So, we're back at square one - how can you cannabilize someone without the above occuring? You can't, and therefore its redundant to make it illegal.

I don't know which one is sicker, having an appetite for people to begin with, or organizing a group such as this:

http://www.cannibalism.org.uk

I found this site after reading the article which spawned this thread. They appear to be real. They even have a guy named Fred Talbot who will answer any question you might have concerning eating people. He is a registered Cannibal, whatever the hell that is, and according to him, he will not allow his website to become a black market for cadavers. This leads me to believe that 'legal' cannibals have established methods of attaining their meat. Some of it apparently comes from other cannibals willing it to their friends after death.

These guys should be put behnid thick glass and studied.

So, afterall this rediculous spew on your behalf, we're still here:

"So, we're back at square one - how can you cannabilize someone without the above occuring? You can't, and therefore its redundant to make it illegal."

Did you have any rational reply to that, or just another evasion? Lemme know, because I'm the only one reading your handsomehunk arguments.

This cannabalism stuff is more widespread than I thought. Check this excerpt :

"Skinning: ...You need not bother skinning the hands and feet, these portions not being worth the effort unless you plan to pickle them or use them in soup. The skin can be disposed of, or made into fried rinds. Boil the strips and peel away the outer layer, then cut into smaller pieces and deep-fat fry in boiling oil until puffy and crisp. Dust with garlic salt, paprika and cayenne pepper."

Warning: This link is way over the top.

You could eat them once they've died of natural causes.

You should read up on the wreck of the whaleship Essex.  Fascinating adventure; testimony to human endurance under extremely adverse conditions.  It was the event that inspired Melville to write "Moby Dick".

The survivors were found adrift in rotting boats, gnawing on the bones of their shipmates, starved and delirious.  Even after their rescue and return to a "normal" lifestyle, they carried some peculiar quirks for the rest of their life, such as the sailor who lived many years with an attic full of canned foods.

As for the German story, I found this to be curious:

Quote
Mr Meiwes, a computer expert, met 43-year-old Bernd-Jurgen Brandes in early 2001, after Mr Meiwes advertised on websites for "young, well-built men aged 18 to 30 to slaughter".

Obviously, they were both mentally unstable.

I already knew that, but do you eat a cow after its died of natural causes?

Even if someone does eat a person after they've expired, why should that be illegal? Their dead, they won't feel any pain.

Sure Torque, take it if ya want it.
